Özet
Işık olgusu; insanoğlunun var oluşundan bu yana varlığını fiziksel olarak olgusal bilgilerle
ortaya koyan bir gerçekliktir. Sinema ise mevcudiyetini ışığın fiziksel olarak varoluşuna
dayandırır. Dolayısıyla sinemanın olmazsa olmazı olan fiziksel ışık ele alınırken aydınlatma
araçlarının nasıl ve hangi bağlamda kullanıldığı büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Bu çalışma sinema
sanatındaki ışık olgusu ve bu araçların film evreni içerisinde nasıl bir biçimsel nitelik
kazandığı sorusundan hareketle ortaya konulmuştur. Örneklem olarak belirlenen Akademi
ödüllerinde son on yıl içerisinde sinematografi dalında ödül alan veya aday gösterilen üç film
aydınlatma estetiği, göstergebilimsel analiz ve sahnelerde yer verilen aydınlatma cihazlarının
amaçları üzerinden incelenmiştir. Akademi ödüllerinde ödül alan veya aday gösterilen bu üç
film; filmin öyküsü, aydınlatma estetiği, göstergebilimsel aydınlatma analizi ve aydınlatma
tasarımı ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmesi yapılmıştır. Bu incelemelerin sonucunda Akademi
ödüllerinde sinematografi dalında ödül alan filmlerin ışık ögesini etkin bir biçim aracı olarak
kullandığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Light phenomenon; It is a reality that human beings have revealed their physical existence with factual information since their existence. The existence of the art of cinema, on the other hand, bases its light on its physical existence. When dealing with physical light, which is also extremely important for cinema, how and in what context the lighting tools are used is of great importance. In this study, based on the question of how the phenomenon of light in the art of cinema and its tools acquire a formal quality in the film universe, three films that were awarded or nominated in the field of cinematography in the academy awards determined as the sample in the last ten years are aimed to determine the lighting aesthetics, semiotics and lighting devices in the scenes in terms of their purposes has worked. His three films, which received awards at the Academy Awards, were analyzed in detail, including the story of the film, the lighting aesthetics, the semiotic lighting and the lighting design. As a result of these examinations, it has been concluded that the films that received awards in the cinematography category at the academy awards see the light element as an effective form tool.
