Özet
Etkili bir şekilde yönetilemeyen hızlı kentleşme, doğal kaynakların tahribiyle sonuçlanmış ve kentsel nüfusun büyük bir kısmı insan kaynaklı çevre sorunlarına karşı risk altına girmiş bu da giderek daha ciddi bir sorun haline gelmiştir. Hızlı kentleşme, ekonomik ve sosyal kalkınmayı büyük ölçüde hızlandırmış, aynı zamanda belirgin iklim değişikliği, karbon depolanması, artan hava ve su kirliliği, artan enerji talepleri ve doğal bitki örtüsü üretiminde önemli bir azalma gibi çevresel sorunlara da neden olmuştur. Sanayileşme ile birlikte almış olduğu nüfus ile hızlı bir şekilde büyüyen Adana, çevre sorunlarının belirgin bir şekilde hissedildiği illerimizden birisidir. Yapmış olduğumuz bu çalışma ile Adana'da ortaya çıkan çevresel sorunların halk üzerindeki etkileri ve yerel yönetim kuruluşlarının bu sorunlara yaklaşımının ne olduğunun belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır.
Rapid urbanization, which could not be effectively managed, resulted in the destruction of natural resources, and a large part of the urban population was at risk from human-induced environmental problems, which has become increasingly serious problem. Rapid urbanization has greatly accelerated economic and social development, but also caused environmental problems such as significant climate change, carbon storage, increased air and water pollution, increased energy demands, and a significant reduction in natural vegetation production. Adana, which grows rapidly with the population it has acquired with industrialization, is one of the provinces where environmental problems are clearly felt. The aim of this study is to determine the effects of environmental problems in Adana on the public and the approach of local government organizations to these problems.
