Özet
This study aims to determine value preferences of preservice teachers studying in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. This study used correlation survey model. The population of the study consisted of preservice teachers studying at Qafqaz University, Manas University and Selcuk University in 2010-2011 academic years. Study group included a total of 463 preservice teachers randomly selected from preservice teachers studying at different faculties of education. Personal Information Form was used for data collection. Schwartz Value Survey developed by Schwartz [1] was used to measure value preferences of preservice teachers. There was a significant difference between conformity sub-dimension scores of preservice teachers according to gender variable (0.05), while no difference was found in other sub-dimensions. There was a significant difference between value preferences of Kyrgyz preservice teachers according to gender variable. There was a significant difference between stimulation and self-control value dimensions of Azeri preservice teachers according to gender there was a significant difference among hedonism, universalism, benevolence, tradition, conformity, security and power value dimensions of preservice teachers according to nationality variable.
