Son yıllarda, av kusu endüstrisi için keklikler önemli bir tür olmustur. Dünyada hem yabani ve hem de evcillestirilmis formda bir çok keklik çesidi vardır. Kekliklerin beslenmesiyle ilgili çalısma sayısı diger kanatlılardan çok daha az olup, keklik yetistiricileri bu hayvanların besin maddesi ihtiyaçlarını ve çevre isteklerini sülün ve diger evcil kanatlılara göre ayarlamaktadırlar. Kasaplık yetistirilen kekliklerin beslenmesi, yumurtası ve av için yetistirilenlerle damızlık olanlardan farklıdır. Bu derlemenin amacı kekliklerin besin maddesi ihtiyaçları ve beslenmesiyle ilgili bilgiler aktarmaktır.
In recent years, the partridges have become an important species for game bird industry. There are numerous species of partridges around the world of both the wild and domesticated kinds. The amount of published work on partridge nutrition is much less than for poultry. For this reason, growers have adapted nutrient and environmental requirements used for pheasant and other domestic birds. The partridges kept for meat production are fed differently than bird saved for egg production, breeding and hunting. This article describes ideas on partridge nutrition and nutrient requirements of partridge.
