Özet
Tez araştırma konumuz olan bölge Anadolu'nun güney sahillerinde yer alan Doğu Pamphylia ve Batı Kilikiya(Cilicia Tracheia) tarihi gelişimi içersinde ilişkilerini incelemektedir. Anadolu da Hitit egemenliğinin başladığı Roma hakimiyet dönemine kadar bu iki bölge siyasi ve tarihi olarak aynı olaylara sahne olmuştur. Bölge tarihi benzerlikleri yanında coğrafi özelliklerin de hemen hemen aynı olması dikkat çekicidir. Bölge kentlerinin gelişimi ve imparatorlukların kurulmasıyla paralel bir çizgi izleyerek gelişmiş ve önemli tarihi olaylara ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Devletlerin ve imparatorlukların ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak için yeni yerlere sahip olmak ve ülkelerinde bulunmayan maddeleri getirmek için ticari faaliyetlere girmesi önemlidir. Nitekim, Hititler Mısır ve Kıbrıs ile olan ticari faaliyetleri için Pamphylia ve Kilikiya bölgelerine hakim olmuştur.( Bu dönem sonrasında Doğu ve Batı arasındaki hakimiyet çekişmeler ve ticari faaliyetlerin gelişmesiyle bölgenin önemi giderek artmıştır. Böylece, Doğu Pamphylia ve Batı Kilikiya kentlerinin birbirleriyle ilişkileri de gelişmiştir. Gelişimleri de birbiriyle aynı düzeyde gelişmiş Roma döneminde En yüksek seviyeye ulaşmıştır.
Theses areas are research positions in the south coast of Anatolia: In historical development Eastern Pamphylia and Western Cilicia(Cilicia Tracheia) examines relations. The start of Hittite domination in Anatolia until the Roman period, these two regions dominated by political and historical scene was the same event. In addition to similarities in the history of the region almost identical to the geographical features is striking. Urban development of the region and by following a line parallel with the establishment of the empire developed and has been host to important historical events. To meet(remove) the needs of states and empires to have new places and countries do not have to bring materials into commercial activities is important. Indeed, the Hittites for with commercial activities of Egypt and Cyprus are dominated regions to Pamphylia and Cilicia. After this period, between the Eastern and Western domination of the region to improve traction and commercial activities has increased importance. So that, the city of Eastern Pamphylia and Western Cilicia(Cilicia Tracheia) also developed a relationship with each other. With each other at the same level of development of advanced and has reached its highest level in the Roman era.
