Özet
Bu çalışma, Türkiye’deki akademisyenlerin internet (genel ağ) kullanma davranışlarını ortaya koymaktadır. Akademisyenlerin bilimsel amaçlı internet kullanmaları ve üretimlerini küresel iletişim aracı olan internet aracılığıyla paylaşıp paylaşmadıkları, çalışmanın odak noktasıdır. Saha uygulamasından elde edilen verilere göre, kuramsal çerçevede belirtilen küresel iletişim araçlarının eşitsiz kullanımı Türkiye’deki akademisyenleri de etkilemekte ve bilgi akışı tek taraflı görünmektedir.
The present study reveals behavioral characteristics of academics in Turkey in the context of internet use. The focus of the study concerns academics’ use of the internet for scientific purposes and whether they share their production through the internet, which is a global means of communication. According to the data, imbalanced use of global means of communication, which was referred to in the theoretical framework, also affects academicians in Turkey and flow of information seems to be one-sided.
