Pazırık Kurganı'nda kırık bir çanak içerisinde iki satırlık bir bas saglıgı ile baslayan yazılı tarihimiz, Göktürkler döneminde anıt taslarla abidelesmis, Uygurlar döneminde ise matbaanın kullanılıp eserlerin cildlerle muhafaza edilmeye baslanmasıyla büyük bir ilerleme kaydetmistir. Türklerin islamiyet'i kabulüyle beraber yazıya, kitaba ve kitap san'atlarına verilen önem iyice artmıs Osmanlı medeniyetiyle beraber zirve noktasına ulasmıstır. Çalısmamız dolayısıyla Tire Necip Pasa Kütüphanesi'ndeki eserleri incelerken ecdadımızın kitap san'atlarında ulasmıs oldukları ustalıga bizzat sahit olma bahtiyarlıgına eristim. Arastırmanın birinci bölümünde cild sanatı hakkında genel bilgilere yer verilmistir. Katalog bölümünde üzerinde çalısılan eserin ismi, dili, konusu, ölçüleri, sayfa sayısı, ketebesi, müellifi belirtilerek eserin künyesi verildi. Eserin yapım teknikleri, süsleme unsurları ve ketebesine dayanılarak cildin degerlendirilmesi yapıldı.One side of Turkish history is missing all the time because of the non- existence of enough written sources, in spite we have a longer history. Our written history which has started by a condolence which has found on a broken plate in the grave of Pazırık, become a monument at the time of Gokturks by memorial stones and showed a big progress at the time of Uyghurs bye the using of printing machines and protecting of books by book covers. The importence of book and book arts has increased by the acceptence of Islam religio by Turks and joined to peak point by the Ottoman civilisation. When I vas examining the books in the Library of Tire Necip Pasha, I felt a big happiness because of seeing the peak point of our ancestors in book arts. In the first chapter, a general information about art of bookbinding has given. In the following chapter, the title of the book, its language and theme, its sizes, its number of pages, its transcribers and its writer had been systematically catalouged; therefore, the title and all other properties of the book had been clearly indicated.
