Araştırmada ipek halı dokunan bu fabrikalar incelenmiş ve Hereke ipek halıcılığının bugünkü durumu ele alınmıştır. Günümüzde el sanatları hak ettiği değeri bulamamakla birlikte teknolojinin de etkisiyle unutulmaya yüz tutmuştur. Bu değeri tekrar kazandırmak için ipek halı dokumayla ilgili bazı çalışmaların yapılması gerekliliği bir gerçektir. Buradan yola çıkılarak el sanatlarına katkı sağlamak ve bu konuda daha çok kişinin bilgilendirilmesi amacıyla ipek halı dokumacılığı ile ilgili bu çalışma yapılmıştır.Hereke silk carpet factories in the subject of the study (Hereke carpet weaving factory, and Han) silk woven carpets, technical and design features are the use and marketing formats.
