The method of public medicine which was used when the effort of modern medicine was not sufficient or when people were suffering from poverty has still applicability among Turkish people. Folktales which constitute an important part of Turkish folk narratives are not only told for people's spare time, but these narratives have also the quality of being an encyclopedia including our culturel values. Up to now, researchers studying on folktales have rarely mentioned about public medicine and public veterinary. In these narratives, however examples of public medicine and public veterinary can be found. In the article, the examples in Dede Korkut narratives, The Epic Poem of Köro?lu, "Kerem ile Asli{dotless}", "Âşi{dotless}k Garip", "Tahir ile Zühre", "Yarali{dotless} Mahmut", "Arzu ile Kamber", İbn Sînâ" are going to be evaluated in terms of several aspects.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessFolktalesMedicinePublic medicinePublic veterinaryPublic medicine in turkish folktalesTürk halk hikâyelerinde halk hekimliğiArticle86519Q2
