"Söylem Analizi" yöntemi kullanılarak yapılan çalışmada, bu beş dizi filmde yer alan çocuk temsilleri analiz edilmiştir. Dizi filmlerde izleyiciye aktarılan mesajlar, Michel Foucault'un normal-anormal, özneleştirme-nesneleştirme ve biyo-iktidar kavramları çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma, dizi filmlerde çocuğun, bir yeniden aktarım ögesi olduğu bulgusundan hareketle çocuğun kimi durumlarda devletin yüceliği için, kimi zaman ailenin dayanışması için ve kimi zaman da kadının mağduriyetini aktarmak için aracı kılındığını ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca, çocuklar üzerinden aktarılan açık ve örtük mesajları ile diziler izleyicinin ne zaman üzüleceğini, ne için fedakârlık yapması gerektiğini, neyi takdir etmesi gerektiğini, kimi mağdur olarak kabul edeceğini ve çocuklarını nasıl yetiştirmesi gerektiğini aktarmaktadır.Entitled "The Representation of Children in the Media: Good, Bad and Wronged Child", this study investigates the representation of children in five Turkish TV series. By the use of the method of discourse analysis, this study examines the representation of children in the following TV series: Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, Muhteşem Yüzyıl, Arka Sokaklar, Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki ve Pis Yedili. The messages conveyed in these series are analyzed from within Michel Foucault's conceptual framework of normal-abnormal, subjectification-objectification and bio-power. The main finding of this study is that children function as an element of retransmission. In this context, the child is made to function as a tool at the service of the good of the state, of family solidarity and of communicating women's oppression.
