To date, floating fat balls within fluid appereance has not been reported in subcutaneous fat necrosis. Also, we discussed similarities or discrepancies in radiologic features between nodular cystic fat necrosis and Morel-Lavallée lesion. © 2008 Elsevier Ireland Ltd.
