Son yıllarda standart, zigomatik ve mini dental implantların kullanımı genis? maksiller defekte sahip hastalarda giderek yaygınlaşmaktadır. Defekt bo?lgesindeki kemik dokuya uygulanan dental implantlar ile destek dis?lere gelen yu?kler azaltılıp kars?ıt ark stabilizasyonu sag?lanarak yer deg?is?tirici kuvvetlere kars?ı etkili bir direnc?elde edilebildiği ve bu tip protetik rehabilitasyonun sağladığı retansiyon ve stabilite ile hastalarda psikososyal hayatın olumlu etkilenmesiyle birlikte yaşam kalitesinin arttığı bilinmektedir. Bununla beraber maksiller defektlerin çeşitliliğine bağlı olarak hastaların öznel faktörler doğrultusunda kişisel talep ve beklentileri de farklılık göstermektedir. Dolayısıyla maksiller defekt hastalarının karşılaştıkları problemlerin önem derecesi, tercih edilecek tedavi yöntemine yön verebilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda maksiller defektin rekonstrüksiyon ve/veya rehabilitasyonu sonrasında uygulanan protetik tedavinin başarısı hasta memnuniyetini ve dolayısıyla yaşam kalitesini doğrudan etkilemektedir. With dental implants applied to the bone tissue in the defect area, it is known that an effective resistance against displacement forces can be achieved by reducing the loads on the supporting teeth and providing counter arc stabilization, and with the retention and stability provided by this type of prosthetic rehabilitation, the quality of life increases with the positive effect of psychosocial life in patients. However, depending on the many types of maxillary defects, the personal demands and expectations of the patients in line with subjective factors also differ. Therefore, the importance of the problems of patients with maxillary defect can direct the treatment method to be preferred. In this direction, the success of the prosthetic treatment applied after the reconstruction and / or rehabilitation of the maxillary defect directly affects the patient satisfaction and thus the quality of life.
