These species are very important for its economical value and utilization for human health. This study carried out at the experimental fields of Cumra High Educational High College and laboratories of Department of Field crops, Faculty of Agriculture, in 2008 and 2009 years. Some characteristics of natural and cultivated plants were determined and essential oil compositions were given comparatively. The collected and cultivating species were Sideritis congesta P.H. Davis and Sideritis condensata Boiss. & Heldr. Essential oil ratio of the cultivated plants were for S. congesta and S. condensata, 0.11%, 0.016%, respectively and natural plants were 0.027%, 0.020%, respectively. According to analyses, the most important components were (3-pinene (28.43%), a-pinene (20.14%), cubebol (16.98%) for cultivated S. congesta; caryophyllene (23.96%), germacrene (23.91%) for cultivated S. condensata.
