The effects of psychotropics on biological rhythmicity can occur via possible neurotransmitter and neuromediator mechanisms within a relatively short time period. On the other hand, hormonal or genetic mechanisms can impact long-term outcomes. In this review, the effects of frequently used psychotropic drugs on sleep are briefly reviewed. © 2017 Nova Science Publishers, Inc.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessPsychotropic drugs and sleepBook Chapter283296N/A
