Olguda giriş yolu deri idi ve ani olarak ateş, hipotansiyon, nekrotizan fasiit, akut renal yetmezlik ve trombositopeni gelişmişti. Yüzeyel deri lezyonu ve dokudan alınan örnekte A Grubu beta-hemolitik streptokok izole edildi. Olgu, acil cerahi debridman ve antibiyotik sağaltımına karşın yatışının ikinci gününde kaybedildi.In this paper, streptococcal toxic shock syndrome in a 70-year-old woman who was previously healthy, is reported. The case, showing route of cutaneous entry, suddenly developed hypotension, necrotizing fasciitis, acute renal failure and thrombocytopenia. Group A \beta-hemolytic Streptococcus was isolated in the specimens taken from the superficial skin lesion and tissue.
