The coal was dehydrogenated while the Cu(II) was reduced to Cu(I). Considerable amounts of aliphatic or alicyclic hydrogen were removed from the coals. A photooxidation mechanism is proposed based on model compound reactions. Hydrogen removals from the coal and lignites were 6.4% and 12.5% respectively.en10.1080/10406639308047868info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessacetonitrilecopper(II)chlorideDehydrogenation of coalphotochemical oxidationPhotochemical Oxidation of Coals Using Copper(II)ChlorideArticle33163167Q3
