Küreselleşme ve yerelleşme süreci ile birlikte yenidünya düzeninde hız kazanan bölgeselleşme politikaları da ülkeler arasında yeni yönetsel anlayışların ve kalkınma modellerinin gelişmesini sağlamıştır. Bu çalışma ile küreselleşme sürecinin beraberinde getirdiği yerelleşme sürecinin popüler aktörü haline gelen Bölgesel Kalkınma Ajansları’nın ortaya çıkış süreci ve etkinliğinin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadırAlong with globalisation, many changes and transformations have taken place, and central and local governments have been affected by this change and transformation. While there is a weakening in the structures of the central administrations, efficiency of local administrations seems to have increased as a result of these changes and transformations. Regionalization policies that have accelerated in the new world order along with the globalization and localization process have also provided improvement of the new managerial understandings and development models among the countries.
