Yöntem: Çalışmaya katılan yaşları 15-46 arasında değişen 20 kekeme erkek hasta ile 20 sağlıklı erkeğe solunum fonksiyon testleri yapıldı. Bulgular: Zorlu vital kapasite, birinci saniyedeki zorlu ekspirasyon volümü, maksimal istemli ventilasyon, vital kapasite, karbon monoksit difüzyon kapasitesi değerlerinde (P0.05) ve tepe ekspiratuar akım hızı değerinde (P0.01) anlamlı azalma gözlendi. Sonuç: Kekeme erkeklerde statik ve dinamik solunum fonksiyon değerleri kontrol grubuna göre düşük olmasına rağmen bu düşüklüğün, MVV hariç, patolojik ölçülerde olmaması bizi klinik anlamlılık noktasına ulaştırmadı.Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate pulmonary function of the patient with stuttering. Methods: Twenty male stutters and 20 healthy male aged 15-46 years were included into the study and performed pulmonary function tests. Results: Forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in 1 second, maximum voluntary ventilation, vital capacity, diffusing capacity of carbon monoxide for lung (P<0.05) and peak expiratory flow (P<0.01) were low in the patients tha those in the control group.
