For this purpose, open questions, interviews and drawing methods were directed at 110 university science students. As a result of the analysis of data obtained, it was determined that the science students surveyed had various misconceptions with regard to the classification and behaviour of birds, and their interaction with people. Some of these misconceptions are described for the first time (the gizzard in their maw provides the digestion).
