They develop from dorsal nerve roots and this characteristic feature is of importance during surgical approach. 70%- 80% of them are in intradural extramedullary location. Total removal of these tumors generally provides cure. Herein, we present a giant pure extradural foraminal schwannoma in a 20 year old female patient presented with pain, numbness and motor weakness at the left hand in the light of the literature. © 2015, Anatolian Journal of Clinical Investigation.
