Almost all samples contained such residues. The frequently detected compounds were DDT and its metabolites, alpha-BHC, beta-BHC and gamma-BHC (Lindane), but aldrine, dieldrine, and endosulfane were also found. 91% of the milk samples were found to be contaminated.
