Career planning is the deliberate process through which someone becomes aware of personal skills, interests, knowledge, motivations, and other characteristics; acquires information about opportunities and choices; identifies career-related goals; and establishes action plans to attain specific goals. During the individual career planning process, the individual performs such activities as self-evaluation, determining individual career objectives, determining the career paths after analyzing the opportunities within and outside the organization, preparation of career plans and work programs, and feedback. The person's personality (values, motives, and needs), family and social environment are important determinants of career choices and career planning. In this study, a survey on more than 300 students has been applied in order to investigate the extent of individual career planning activities of university student and identify the factors affecting their career decisions.
