Bu nedenle bu türe erişim her zaman mümkün olmamaktadır. Bu elde etme zorluğu ile cinsin türlerinin besinsel açıdan lezzetli olması onları ülkemizde ve dünyada oldukça değerli kılmaktadır. Türkiye’de bugüne kadar Morchella cinsine ait 25 tür yapılan literatür çalışmasında tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Kırşehir İl’inden 2018 yılı mart ayında yapılan arazi çalışmaları sırasında toplanan mantar örneklerinin Morchella steppicola Zerova olduğu teşhis edilmiş ve dünya mikotası için kırmızı listede olan bu mantar Türkiye’den ikinci kez farklı bir lokaliteden tespit edilmiştir.The species of Morchella genus can not be collected from nature in every period of the year. Therefore, obtain to this type is not always possible. The fact that the species of the genus is nutritionally tasty makes it very valuable in our country and in the world. In Turkey, it was determined 25 species belonging to the genus of Morchella according to the literature to date.
