In Turkey, various types of feed mixers with different capacities and constructions are manufactured. These machines generally have single or double augers positioned horizontally or vertically. Such differences in machine constructions are generally resulted from manufacture easiness, cost items and feed characteristics. In Our Country, various types of feed mixers with different capacities and constructions are manufactured. These machines generally have single or double augers positioned horizontally or vertically. In present study, considering the average size of livestock operations of Turkey, three feed mixing and distribution machines with different constructions and 6 m3 vagon capacity (A Type – Horizontal Single Auger, B Type Vertical Single Auger and C Type Horizontal Double Auger) were compared in terms of operational conditions and assessments were made accordingly. Ease of use, feed mixing performance, average fuel consumption and power needs were determined in the evaluations. As a result, the coefficients of variation expressing the change of the trace material to determine the homogeneity of the mixture taken from the samples were found to be 12.41, 10.32% and 8.97% in A, B and C type machines, respectively. In the power measurements made, the highest average power requirement was measured in the vertical single-auger machine with 8,61 kW, and the lowest average power requirement was measured in the horizontal double-auger machine with 6,95 kW. The fuel consumption measurements also followed a course in parallel with the power demand values.
