EU having the economic characteristics at this point has focuses its politic in some areas such as agriculture, social politics and economics. In order to arrive to its economical targets the education has been considered as instrument.In the field of education EU education cooperation initiatives carried out in accordance with economic objectives of the community. After the Second War, the knowledge, the developments in the communication technologies and the globalisation fact have played great role in the education approach of EU. According to respond the growing expectation of indviduals, EU has been forced to develop education policy with quality and efficient. Education is one of the fundamental rights of individuals. Therefore All member states perceive a need to increase the quality of their education, develop accessed to learning at all stages of life. Its clear that Life-long learning has become the basic point in EU's educational strategy. This concept includes in itself all the stages and forms of education and besides combines them. The aim of this study was to focus on the educational policy of European Union which has the goal of maintaining collaboration and integration among the members of the union within the framework of common cultural values. So,with the importance of human capital, many studies have been done to indicate the presence of relationshipbetween the health and economic growth. Because, health as human capital affects economic growth forcountries. And also, health expenditures seen as a robust predictor of economic growth. In this paper, weaim to investigate the effect of health on economic growth by a panel data analysis. This article consists ofdata of BRICS countries and Turkey for the period from 2000-2014. Econometric results show that healthexpenditure has significantly positive effect on economic growth.Öğe Mersin ili üzüm ihracatının Türkiye ekonomisi içindeki yeri ve öneminin değerlendirilmesi(2014) Cebeci, Esra; Akın, AydınBağcılık, ülkemizde en önemli tarım kollarının başında yer almaktadır. Mersin ili arazisinin yarısı ormanlık alanlar, %25?i ise tarımsal alanlardan oluşmaktadır. Tarım alanlarının yarısında sulama yapılmaktadır. Mersin ili, ülkemiz bağ alanı ve üzüm üretiminde 3. sırada yer almaktadır. Yetiştirilen üzüm çeşitlerinin %85?i sofralık olarak değerlendirilmekte olup, Mersin ili sofralık üzüm yetiştiriciliği ile ön plana çıkmaktadır. Örtü altı üzüm yetiştiriciliği de ayrı bir öneme sahiptir. En çok yetiştirilen üzüm çeşitlerini Yalova İncisi, Alphonse Lavallee, Tarsus Beyazı ve Cardinal çeşitleri oluştururken, geçci çeşitlerden ise Tilki Kuyruğu oluşturmaktadır. Türkiye?nin üzüm ihracatında kurutmalık üzümün yeri oldukça önemlidir. Türkiye?de son sekiz yılda yaş üzüm ve kurutmalık üzüm ihracatının iki kat arttığı gözlenmektedir. Mersin İli üzüm ihracatı, Türkiye?nin taze üzüm ihracatında 2013 yılı bazında yaklaşık %5, kurutulmuş üzüm bazında yaklaşık % 0,02 değeri almaktadır. Özellikle, örtü altı üzüm yetiştiriciliğinin yaygınlaştırılması ve bağcılıkta modern sistemlerin uygulanması ile bağcılığın ekonomiye katkısı artacaktır.Öğe The returns of the education in the context of micro-macro analysis(ELSEVIER SCIENCE BV, 2015) Cebeci, Esra; Algan, Nese; Cankaya, SedaThe actual conditions require the information society and the information age. These developments increase the importance of the human capital. At this point, the role of the education is able to overcome information society because the knowledge and the education have been considered as the most effective tool for the economic system of a country. In this respect, the increase of human capital plays an important role to integrate all economic sector's capital. The aim of this article is to describe the returns of education which are based on both individual and social returns in accordance with interactions in the world economy at micro-macro level and to present the results of these interactions. The individual returns of the education are described at micro level and its social views are explained at macro level. While the education is the most important factor of the human capital specifiying the economic development and the growth at the macro level, the education effects on the individual's wage at micro level.
