Öğe Afet Müdahale Sürecinde Sunulan Medikal Kurtarma Hizmetlerinin Değerlendirilmesi: Konya UMKE Örneği(Selçuk Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2023) Dabak, Mehmet Tahsin; Ertaş, HandanIt is an inevitable fact that human beings have encountered natural disasters from their existence to the present. It is not possible to completely prevent natural disasters, but it is possible to minimize the negative effects of disasters. The purpose of disaster management and disaster education is to raise awareness of the society against disasters in general, and to gain competence regarding the practices that can be done before, during and after the disaster. In our country, there are many structures operating within the body of public institutions and organizations to serve in disaster situations. One of these structures is the National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE), which serves under the Ministry of Health. UMKE personnel are the teams that are formed of health workers and work on a voluntary basis in order to search and rescue the disaster victims and to meet their medical needs during all kinds of national and international disasters. The aim of this research is to determine the disaster preparedness perceptions of the personnel working in the National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE). The population of the research consists of the personnel working in the Konya UMKE unit, and the sample consists of 106 UMKE personnel who were randomly selected and volunteered to participate in the research. The "HASPAHA" scale developed by Tercan and ġahinöz (2021) was used to obtain the research data in the study in which the scanning method was used. The scale consists of 28 questions in total, covering five parts: desire, importance, self-efficacy, intervention skill and benefit. A 5-point Likert scale was used to answer the questions. The data obtained with the application were transferred to the SPSS package program, a simple descriptive statistical analysis was made, and the results were given in the findings section in the form of tables with numbers and percentage values. In addition, one-way analysis of variance (OneWay ANOVA) test was conducted in order to find out whether there is a significant difference between age, gender, occupation, working time and education status, and the dimensions of disaster preparedness perceptions. As a result of the research, it was determined that the majority of the participants were male, between the ages of 26-30 and undergraduate graduates. It was concluded that the participants expressed the opinion that I agree or strongly agree with the highest percentages in the dimensions of willingness, importance, self-efficacy, response skills and benefit in their perceptions of disaster preparedness. In the research, significant results were obtained in terms of HASPAHA scale subdimensions, age and occupation.
