Öğe Alloying effects on K-beta/K-alpha intensity ratios and electrical properties in Cd1-xZnxS semi-conductor alloys(PERGAMON-ELSEVIER SCIENCE LTD, 2005) Dogan, O; Bacaksiz, EThe alloying effect on K-beta/K-alpha intensity ratio in Cd1-xZnxS semi-conductor alloys and on structural, electrical and optical properties of these alloys were investigated. The sample was excited by gamma rays with energy 59.5 keV photons from an Am-241 radioisotope source. K X-rays emitted by the sample were counted with a Si(Li) detector. We found that the K-beta/K-alpha intensity ratio is changed by the alloying effect in Cd1-xZnxS semi-conductor alloys for different compositions x. We compared our results with the theoretical values. (c) 2004 Elsevier Ltd. For the excitation of silver atoms, an annular Am-241 radioisotope source (50 mCi) emitting 59.543 keV photons was used. The temperature dependences of silver diffusion coefficients in grains (D,) and over the grain boundaries in the range 700-850&DEG; C (D-2) are described by the relations D-1 = 1.4 x 10(-2)exp[-(1.18&PLUSMN; 0.10)/kT] and D-2 = 3.1 x 10(-4)exp[-(0.87&PLUSMN; 0.10)/kT]. © 2004 Elsevier Ltd. Radiative transition probabilities of L-3 to M-i, N-i and O-i subshells were measured by using L-3 x-ray intensity ratios and L-i subshell fluorescence yields. For this measurement, the new equations were used in this study. The experimental results were compared with the relativistic Hartree-Slater values of Scofield.
