    Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is organization-wide software to integrate the business processes of the organization from production to sales and procurement to accounting under a common information technology platform. Selection process is a first step to get introduced to ERP systems which will fit best to the needs of organizations. Decision to select the best ERP system is not a simple task which incurs substantial costs to organizations. The intention of this study is to provide guidance to managers who engage in ERP system selection decisions. A set of critical issues on software selection is identified in the previous literature and adapted to Turkish context and brought forward to the attention of decision makers.
