Öğe A Rare Case of Glomus Tumour; Buccal Localization(CHURCHILL LIVINGSTONE, 1996) Savacı, N.; Emiroğlu, M.; Gümren, M.; Güngor, S.Sir, Glomus is a physiological arteriovenous anastomosis, found normally in the stratum retinaculum of skin and concerned with temperature regulation. Tumours arising from this structure are called glomangioma or angiomyoneuroma and are usually seen in the extremities. Sometimes, other vasomotor phenomena or some atrophic changes in the involved extremity are associated. The usual sites of location of such tumours are distal ends of fingers and toes, especially the subungual region. It is very rare to see a glomus tumour in soft tissues of other parts of the body.
