    Isparta ili Eğirdir ilçesinde elma üreten işletmelerin AB muhasebe veri ağı (FADN) sistemine göre sınıflandırılması ve değerlendirilmesi

    Bu çalışmanın amacı, Isparta ili Eğirdir ilçesinde elma yetiştiriciliği yapan tarım işletmelerinin AB Tarım İşletmeleri Muhasebe Veri Ağı Sistemine (FADN) göre ekonomik büyüklük gruplarını belirlemek ve ekonomik büyüklük grupları itibariyle standart faaliyet sonuçlarını ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmanın ana materyalini, basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemine göre belirlenen 71 elma üreten işletmeyle yapılan anket çalışması sonucu elde edilen veriler oluşturmuştur. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, incelenen işletmelerin ortalama ekonomik büyüklükleri 2,39 ile 53,39 ESU arasında değişiklik göstermekte olup işletmeler ortalaması 19,40 ESU olarak bulunmuştur. Ekonomik büyüklük gruplarında brüt işletme karı 4.847,83 TL ile 104.423,92 TL arasında değişim göstermektedir. Toplam üretim değeri içinde brüt karın payı ekonomik büyüklük gruplarında % 34,27 ile % 71,18 arasında değişmekte olup, işletmeler ortalaması bu oran % 67,18 olarak bulunmuştur. Toplam gelirde olduğu gibi brüt işletme karı da ekonomik büyüklük gruplarına paralel olarak artış göstermiştir. İşletme net katma değerinin toplam üretim değeri içerisindeki payı % 10,35 ile % 61,38 arasında değişmekte ve işletmeler ortalaması % 51,72 olarak bulunmuştur. İşletme başarı ölçütlerinden bir diğeri olan net işletme aile gelirinin toplam üretim değeri içindeki payı % - 9,25 ile % 44,04 arasında değişmekte olup, işletmeler ortalaması bu oranın % 36,07 olduğu tespit edilmiştir. 2-4 ESU büyüklük grubundaki işletmelerde net aile işletme geliri negatif bulunmuştur. İncelenen işletmelerde ekonomik büyüklük gruplarına paralel karlılığın arttığı belirlenmiştir.

    ORCHARD PERFORMANCE OF APPLE WORSENS AS WEED COMPETITION INCREASES: A LONG-TERM FIELD STUDY UNDER MEDITERRANEAN CONDITIONS

    Crop-weed competition (CWC) for water and nutrients can negatively affect orchard performance, especially in high-density apple orchards. With this study, we compared the effects of three CWC levels: Weak, Moderate, and Strong for the orchard performance of apple in the Mediterranean area. The study was conducted at a 'Golden Delicious'/M. 9 orchard in a high-density formation (3.5 x 1 m spacing). Cumulative yield was greatest in Weak-CWC, and it decreased as CWC increased. Overall, Weak-CWC performed remarkable results for successful apple production under Mediterranean conditions.

    Sub-Sector analysis of fruit tree nursery in Turkey

    In this study, a sector analysis has been conducted to increase the competitiveness of the Turkish fruit nursery using the SWOT and Strategic Orientation Management (SOR) method and strategic aims and goals have been determined. It is an important power factor that exports of nursery plants tend to increase. However, the problems experienced in supplying certified sapling production materials are the weakest point of the industry. In addition, the increase in the number of new fruit plantations in recent years in countries that have the high market potential for export of saplings for Turkey and the increasing demand for world fruit saplings are significant opportunities for the sector. The expected increase in the demand for certificated saplings in the near future, protecting of the new varieties accepted in the world market and the high quality of the saplings in the competing countries are the most important threats for Turkey. A total of 7 strategic objectives, 17 targets, and 63 projects/activities were determined in the prepared strategic action plan. In case of the projects/activities defined in the Action Plan are taken into consideration by the stakeholders and cooperated with each other, it is possible that Turkey's fruit nursery sub-sector could reach the targets set for 2023 and its competitiveness would increase.
