    An overview of software defined campus networks

    The number of users and overall workload on computer networks increase continually. However, the management of the computer networks infrastructure in which taking the advantage of rapid changes in technology is still complicated and exteremely expensive. The concept of Software Defined Networks (SDN) proposes the development of software tools with new applications to decouple the network devices from the network traffic as similar as virtualization technologies. This will help computer networks being more flexible and contribute the management of Information Technologies with a higher functionality and lower cost.
