    CONSTITUTION OF HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL INVENTORY FOR TOURISM INFORMATION SYSTEMS-A CASE STUDY FROM MANAVGAT

    Tourism has vital importance for Turkish economy as in other countries. Province of Antalya is one the most lively cities in Turkey in the context of tourism. Historical and cultural heritages must be officially registered and prevented from destructive effects of time. In this study, Manavgat district of Antalya has been chosen as application area. Historical data determined by the Museum of Side and data not in official records have been gathered by literature scanning. Officially unregistered data was coordinated by using Magellan Sportrak El GPS equipment. Both type of data was transferred into Arc GIS software. Photographs of two selected historical ruins (Emperor Vespianus Fountain and Temple of Apollon) were taken by Pretec DC 4311 digital camera. 3D data was obtained by processing the photographs by PhotoModeler software. This data was associated with Arc GIS software. Consequently, a study, which can be taken as an example for further studies, was accomplished.

    EVALUATION OF LAND REFORM POLICIES IN TURKEY

    Turkeys agricultural policies of the European Union, World Bank, International Monetary Fund on a global scale, such as areas of activity by the organizations and groups, referral is made. Since the beganning of the Republic of Turkey, land reform has been different application. "On June the 11 th 1945, a Law to Provide Farmers with Land enumerated 4753, Land and Agrarian Reform Law dated 1973 and Enumerated 1757, Agrarian Reform Law Regarding Land Regulations in Irrigation Areas, Land Protection & Land Use Law enumerated as 5403/5578" applications have handled in within Turkey land reform. In region of the land reform applied, had been a lot of problem for example, lack of credit, absence of qualified personnel for giving information, etc. and had not gotten efficiency to expected performance and successed expectancy.& para;& para;In this study, land reform, according to the particular application in the world have studied the similarities and differences. A viable model for our country's land reform was formed.

    RASTER-VECTOR TRANSFORMATIONS ADD THE MODERN CARTOGRAPHIC STUDIES

    Nowadays some novelties on computer technology and new softwares have exposed "modern cartography" term. Generally all existing data are recorded digital areas. At the study, raster /vector data transformations, obtaining of digital data, and evaluating and analyzing of new methods have been discussed and exemplified in detail. At the result, outcomes and suggestions of the applications will be illustrated.

    SURVEYING AND MAPPING USING MOBILE PHONE IN ARCHAEOLOGICAL SETTLEMENTS

    Depending on the development of technology, the boundary concept between different disciplines became unclear today and it became necessary to work jointly depending on data sharing. Also Producing the maps is effected the development of the technology and positioning of desired area is become very fast. Today, instead of hand GPS, users can be obtained coordinate desired via programs which are compatible with mobile phone. CORS (Continuously Operation Reference System) GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receivers which measure points coordinates (x, y, h) at all weather conditions, day and night will become compatible Mobil PC devices (Mobil Phone) via compatible software. By means of this study, including the surveys of Ancient History and Archaeology sciences, different samples belonging to different periods have been evaluated. In this study, coordinates obtained with CORS-TR (Continuously Operation Reference System-TuRkey) and Asus Zenfone 6 in which Kocaman Pro Software was used at selected areas compare with each and the usage of Asus Zenfone 6 was investigated in term of easiness and accuracy in Archaeological Settlements. This study was carried out at the Hatip Castle, Malas II and Campus ruins in Konya. Only horizontal accuracy (x, y) was investigated. The horizontal accuracy is higher in Malas II and Campus ruins than Hatip Castle. This is due to the distance of the GSM networks to the application area.
