Epics are very valuable literary works, at the same time they are very important for reflect to national history, great events and cultural values. Music, one of the most important parts of cultural wealth of a nation, includes in epics and offers important clues to the history of music. This descriptive research based on literature review, aimed to investigate to various variants of the Manas Epic, the most comprehensive epic in Turkish World and the World; have been determined musical types in the Epic. Results have been associated with several examples of Turkish history.
