Öğe Analyzing socialization levels of girls university students(SILA SCIENCE, 2012) Sahan, Hasan; Tekin, Murat; Yildiz, Mustafa; Gorucu, AlpaslanThe aim of this analyzing is to observe socialization levels of girl university student. Research group consists of 603 girl university students in 1(th), 2(th), 3(th) and 4(th) class in some faculties and academies in Dumlupinar University, Inonu University, Gazi University and 19 Mayis University. Socialization measurement is used to fulfill the analyzing. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was applied in data analyzing and interpreting and results of significance level data from Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis test is acquired P<0.05. SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) package program was used in calculating and interpreting the data. At the end of this research, It is determined that girl students socialization level whose departments are architecture and engineering are lower than girl students' whose departments are physical education and sports academy and faculty of education. In addition to this, 1(th) year university girl students socialization level are higher than 2(th) and 4(th) year university girl students socialization level.Öğe The effect of different type of exercises on the isokinetic strength of quadriceps and hamstring muscles(2017) Gorucu, Alpaslan; Tokay, BekirThis study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of three different types of exercise on the isokinetic strength of quadriceps and hamstring muscles. Thirty recreational athletes aged of 23.19 years on average participated in the study. In the study, the subjects were divided into 3 groups consisting of 10 individuals (bicycle group, plyometric group, and weight group). The athletes were given 3 different exercises for 3 days and 30 minutes per week for 6 weeks. Muscular strength and endurance as was measured at a constant angular velocity of 60º/s and 180º/s and concentric quadriceps and concentric hamstring strength test were measured before and after exercises by an isokinetic dynamometer (Cybex Humac Norm-2009). The Kruskal-Wallis H test was used to determine the differences among the groups in the study, and the Mann-Whitney U test was used to determine the group that is the source of these the differences. Wilcoxon test was conducted to determine pre - test post - test differences within the groups. As a result; Weight exercises during 6 weeks provided a significant increase in parameters at NDQPT60º/s, NDQAP60º/s and NDHPT60º/s in constant angular velocity values compared to cycling exercise in the same period. In terms of other parameters, exercises done in the same time period in all three groups did not show the same significant effect on strength developmentÖğe The effect of vitamin E and A supplementation on some hematological parameters and lactate levels of elite taekwondo players(2017) Gorucu, AlpaslanIn this research it was aimed to investigate the effect of vitamin E and A supplementation on some hematological parameters of exercising taekwondo players. 21 healthy male elite taekwondo players were used as subjects. Subjects were separated into three groups. 300 mg/d vitamin E was given to vitamin E group, 100 mg/d vitamin A was given to vitamin A group and no vitamin supplementation was given to control group for 6 weeks. Taekwondo exercise was applied to all groups for 5 days per week during 6 weeks. Fatigue protocol was applied to subjects two times as pre-supplementation and postsupplementation. Blood samples from all groups were taken four times the 1st and 6th week before and after the exercise. Some hematological (RBC (red blood cell), WBC (white blood cell), PLT (platelet), HGB (hemoglobin), LYM (lymphocyte), HCT (hematocrit), MCV (mean corpuscular volume), MCH (mean corpuscular hemoglobin), MCHC (mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration), RDW (red cell distribution width), MPV (mean platelet volume), PCT (procalcitonin), PDW (platelet distribution width ) parameters and lactate levels determined from taken blood samples were measured. It was determined significant level (p0.05) increase in HGB, HCT, RDW, PDW, MCV, MCH, MPV, PCT and lactic acid amounts in samples taken after exercises, after and before supplementation. It was determined a decrease in HGB, HCT, PLT, MPV, RDW values in the vitamin E and A groups according to the controlÖğe The effects of three different type of exercises on aerobic and anaerobic power(NATL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE UKRAINE, KHARKOV REGIONAL BRANCH, 2017) Gorucu, Alpaslan; Tokay, Bekir; Adela, BadauPurpose: The study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effects of three different types of exercise: bicycling, plyometric and weight on aerobic and anaerobic power. Material: Sample size 30 students recreational athletes aged 23,19 years. The athletes were divided into 3 groups of 10 subjects (bicycle, plyometric, weight). The program for 6 weeks included: 3 different exercises planned for 30 minute/3 days/week. Body weight, vertical jump and 20-meter shuttle running tests were measured for each group. Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS21.0: arithmetic averages and standard deviations; the Kruskal-Wallis H test was used to determine the differences between the groups; the Mann-Whitney U test was used to determine the group which result in the difference among the groups; Wilcoxon's t test was used to determine pretest posttest differences within the groups. Results: As a result of the research, it was determined that the increase in the aerobic power levels of the bicycle and plyometric groups was significant (p<0.05), but the increase in the weight group was not significant (p>0.05). Conclusions: The different exercises practiced by all three groups significantly increased anaerobic power levels. When the aerobic and anaerobic power values of the three groups in each study were examined, it was found that only the increase of weight and plyometric groups was high level in favor of the weight group in terms of posttest aerobic power.Öğe Examining secondary school students metaphor perceptions of the concept of physical education lesson(2015) Koksal, Onur; Gorucu, AlpaslanThe purpose of the present research is examining secondary school 7th grade students perceptions of the concept of physical education lesson through metaphors. The present research also tested whether the metaphors produced by the students differ according to gender. The research was conducted on 393 students who study in 7th grade at three different public secondary schools in the province of Konya in 2014-2015 academic year, fall semester. According to the findings obtained in the research, the students produced 45 different metaphors related to the concept of physical education lesson. These metaphors produced by students under 4 conceptual categories. There wasnt a statistically significant difference between the conceptual categories according to gender. In accordance with the findings obtained in the present research, metaphor method can be used as an important data collection method in order to understand and explain the secondary school 7th grade students perceptions of the concept of physical education.Öğe Impact of multiple intelligence applications based on collaborative learning on primary school students' attitudes toward physical education course(SILA SCIENCE, 2012) Gorucu, AlpaslanThis experimental study aims to find out whether there is a significant difference between the experimental group in which multiple intelligence applications based on collaborative learning were used in 7th grade physical education course and the control group in which traditional teaching method was applied in terms of their scores pertaining to attitudes toward physical education course. The study was carried out with 34 seventh grade students attending a private primary school in Selcuklu county of Konya province. In the study, there is an experimental and a control group. "Physical education attitude scale" which was used as measurement instrument was applied before and after the instruction period. The results of the study revealed that there is a significant difference between the experimental and the control group in terms of their attitudes toward physical education in favor of the experimental group.
