    The role of smart technologies in the relationship between Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous Business Environment (VUCA) and organizational agility: Industrial enterprises research

    The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of smart technologies in the relationship between volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) business environment and organizational agility in the context of manufacturing firms. The study used a survey design to examine the moderating role of smart technologies in the relationship between VUCA and organizational agility. Using the survey technique, 473 valid questionnaires were obtained from 236 different machinery and automotive manufacturing enterprises operating in Konya Industrial Zones in Türkiye. Data analysis was conducted by using descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation model path analysis, and PROCESS moderating variable analysis technique. The results of the research showed that VUCA had a positive impact on organizational agility. Similarly, the results support the hypothesis that smart technologies increase organizational agility. As a result of the research, smart technologies have no significant moderating effect on the relationship between VUCA and Organizational Agility. This finding suggests that organizations are not using smart technologies effectively enough in VUCA environment and in their organizational agility activities.
