Öğe Selçuk Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Hayvan Hastanesi İç Hastalıkları Kliniğine Başvuran Buzağılarda Hastalıkların Tespiti, Retrospektif Araştırma(Selçuk Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2022) Isak, Abdullahi Abdukadir; Güzelbekteş, HasanIn this study, it was aimed to categorize the diseases diagnosed in calves brought to Selcuk University Faculty of Veterinary Animal Hospital Internal Medicine Clinic for treatment between “2016-2020” and to analyze their changes according to years. The material of this retrospective study consisted of the records in the Patient Registry of the calves brought to the Internal Medicine Clinic of Selcuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Animal Hospital. Five-year retrospective records (between 2016 and 2020) were examined. First of all, the annual total number and the increase or decrease in the total number of sick calves by years was determined. Sick calves were divided into three groups according to their age, 1-30 days old calves were evaluated as the first group, 1-3 months old (31-90 days) calves as the second group, and 4-6 months (91-180 days) calves as the third group. Then, five-year comparisons of the first, second and third group calves were made. Descriptive statistical data were presented in the groups, the X2 test (Chi-square test), spss for windows were used to determine the significance between the groups, and the significance level was accepted as p<0.05. Excel for windows was used to compare the total number of calves by years. When the total number of calves coming to the clinic is compared by years, a total of 1785 cases have been brought in the last five years. The highest number of patients came in 2018 (24.31%), while the least number of patients came in 2020 (12.04%). It was determined that the changes in the number of cases by years were statistically insignificant (p>0.05). Gastrointestinal system diseases in 1007 (56.41%) of 1785 calves admitted to the clinic, respiratory system diseases in 503 (28.18%), premature births in 89 (4.99%), vitamin-mineral deficiencies in 58 (3%) calves. 25), omphalitis in 55 (3.08%), septicemia in 44 (2.46%) and urinary system diseases in 29 (1.62%) were detected. It was observed that 72.66% of these calves were at the age of 1-30 days, 17.65% at the age of 1-3 months and 9.69% at the age of 4- 6 months. When sick calves are evaluated according to years, the rate of disease incidence in 1-30 day old calves in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 was statistically significantly higher than other groups (p<0.026c, p<0.002, p<0.000, p<0.003), respectively, The increase in 2020 (p<0.071) was found to be statistically insignificant. Finally, it has been determined that calf diarrhea and respiratory system diseases are the two most important problems in Turkey as in the whole world, the incidence of these two diseases in calves is 84.59%, and 72.66% of sick calves are in the neonatal period.
