Öğe Nitrogen-fixing capacity of rhizobia nodules in relation to their diameter in dry bean(INT SOC HORTICULTURAL SCIENCE, 2016) Karaca, U.; Uyanoz, R.The nitrogen-fixing capacity of nodules was determined with reference to the nodule size in dry bean. Root nodules of greenhouse-grown bean were collected at flowering and classified into nine groups of size using a circle template. Then the experiment was established. Nitrogen and yield components were measured to evaluate nitrogen-fixing capacity for respective size groups. The results showed that the nitrogen fixing capacity of root nodules is closely related with their sizes In addition, the relation were found to be statistically significant (P < 0.05).
