Öğe Adrenal Tumor Classification on T1 and T2-weighted Abdominal MR Images(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2019) Barstugan M.; Ceylan R.; Asoglu S.; Cebeci H.; Koplay M.Adrenal tumors occur on adrenal glands and can be malignant. Adrenal glands consist of cortex and medulla. If cortex or medulla produce hormones extremely, the hormonal unbalance situation arises. This situation causes adrenal tumor occurrence on adrenal glands. In this study, adrenal tumors on T1 and T2-weighted MR images were classified by the SVM algorithm. Before the classification stage, different feature extraction algorithms and filtering methods were used for preprocessing. The classification results that were obtained by four different methods were evaluated on five different evaluation metrics as sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, precision, and F-score. The best classification performance was obtained with Method 2 on T1-weighted MR (Magnetic Resonance) images where the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, precision, and F-score metrics were obtained as 99.17%, 90%, 98.4%, 99.17%, and 99.13%, respectively. © 2019 IEEE.Öğe Early abdomino-perineal pull-through vaginoplasty(2013) Ciftci I.; Tastekin A.; Annagur A.; Koplay M.Vaginal agenesis is known as one of the Müllerian anomalies. Müllerian anomalies occur during gonadal development and differentiation, and may lead to complex outcomes. McKusick-Kaufman syndrome (MKS) is an autosomal recessive multiple malformation syndrome characterized by Müllerian anomalies with hydrometrocolpos (HMC) and postaxial polydactyly (PAP). We report a case of a female newborn that developed hydronephrosis and respiratory distress due to compression of the cystic mass and underwent surgery on postpartum day 3. Pull-through vaginoplasty was performed with an abdomino-perineal approach. We report the unique treatment approach in this case.Öğe A giant hamartoma of tuber cinerium: Conventional MR imaging and MR spectroscopy findings [Tuber sineryumun dev bir hamartomu: Konvansiyonel MR ve MR spektroskopi bulgulari{dotless}](TIP ARASTIRMALARI DERNEGI, 2014) Koplay M.; Erdo?an H.; Sivri M.; Erol C.; Varo?lu A.; Paksoy Y.Hypothalamic hamartoma is a developmental malformation in the region of tuber cinereum and mamillary bodies. It presents the most commonly detectable lesion in patients with precocious puberty and is associated with gelastic seizures. As well as, it can be completely silent to be found only incidentally. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic rezonans (MR) imaging are preferred imaging modalities in diagnose of hypothalamic hamartomas. The aim of this study is to present the radiologic imaging findings of a rare hypothalamic hamartoma case.Öğe Intrahepatic portal vein aneurysm: An unusual entity(Universa Press, 2016) Nayman A.; Guler I.; Koplay M.; Erdogan H.; Cebeci H.[Abstract not Available]Öğe Letters to the editor [Cartas al editor](Sociedad Argentina de Pediatria, 2018) Sekmenli T.; Gündüz M.; Ciftci I.; Emirolu H.H.; Koplay M.[Abstract not Available]Öğe Öğe Our experience with MR imaging of perianal fistulas(Medical Science International, 2014) Baskan O.; Koplay M.; Sivri M.; Erol C.Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) depicts infectious foci in the perianal region better than any other imaging modality. MRI allows definition of the fistula, associated abscess formation and its secondary extensions. Accurate information is necessary for surgical treatment and to obtain a decrease in the incidence of recurrence and complications. Radiologists should be familiar with anatomical and pathological findings of perianal fistulas and classify them using the MRI – based grading system. The purpose of this article was to provide an overview for evaluation of perianal fistulas, examples of various fistula types and their classification. © 2014, Pol J Radiol.Öğe Penile mondor's disease [Penil Mondor Hastali{dotless}?i{dotless}](Journal of Clinical and Analytical Medicine, 2014) Koplay M.; Islamo?lu N.; Erol C.; Paksoy Y.Penile Mondor's disease (PMD) is superficial thrombophlebitis of the dorsal vein of the penis. It is a rare but easily diagnosed and treated disease. Although PMD is a benign disease, it can be cause the psychological problems such as anxiety. In addition, it is clinically confused with lesion of the penis such as sclerosing lymphangitis and Peyronie's disease. Therefore, the early diagnosis and treatment is important. In differential diagnosis, color Doppler ultrasonography is useful. We reported the clinical findings, diagnosis and treatment of PMD together with literature information in a patient 25 years-old.Öğe Portal hypertension due to alveolar Echinococcosis and recanalized paraumbilical vein [Alveolar ekinokok nedeniyle oluşan portal hipertansiyon ve rekanalize paraumblikal ven](2012) Yilmaz O.; Koplay M.; Onbaş O.; Aydinli B.Hepatic alveolar echinococcosis is an uncommon parasitic disease caused by Echinococcus multilocularis. It carries high fatality rates and poor prognosis if not diagnosed early and managed correctly. We report a 29-year-old female patient who admitted to our clinic with fatigue, weight loss and abdominal bloating in her right upper quadrant. Physical examination revealed the presence of a large palpable mass in her right upper quadrant, ascites and bilateral pedal edema. Computed tomography revealed a large non-homogeneous mass located in the right lobe of the liver and a dilated paraumbilical vein arising from the left branch of the portal vein. Echinococcus serology assessed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was noted to be positive. Histopathologic examination of the hepatic mass was consistent with alveolar echinococcosis. The patient's complaints were determined as being related to cirrhosis due to alveolar echinococcosis. Alveolar echinococcosis must be considered in patients with portal hypertension of uncertain etiology, especially in endemic regions.Öğe Short-gap Isolated Esophageal Atresia Causing Stridor Due to Compression of the Trachea(2015) Sekmenli T.; Ciftci İ.; Sivri M.; Koplay M.Isolated esophageal atresias are reported always to be associated with long gap in the literature. In this manuscript, we aimed to discuss the imaging and surgical treatment methods of an isolated esophageal atresia case with 'short gap' who had stridor due to compression of the trachea by dilated upper esophageal pouch and had not identified previously in the literature.
