In today, the businesses know that employees are the major assets of an organization. It is essential that the employees perform together as a collective unit and contribute equally towards the realization of a common goal. Therewithal if the relationship between employees and sharing of the knowledge is good the employees' performance can be good in businesses. The aim of this study is to make an attempt the service employees' performance in hotels. Hereby this study has been conducted in a five star hotel. Surveying method has been used in order to collect data. The employees of this hotel participated in the survey. In this context, a unique manufacturing strategy which is based on business specific competences since it is very hard to duplicate by the rivals has a strategic importance in gaining a sustainable competitive advantage. The main function of the manufacturing strategy is to positively influence the manufacturing performance, and thus the business performance, by combining the manufacturing skills that would support the competitive strategies. In this study, the impact of the manufacturing performance, which emerges based on strategic manufacturing practices, on the business performance was investigated. It was determined through the findings obtained through the data from 180 small and medium sized enterprises operating in textile and automotive supply industries that strong correlation between manufacturing performance and business performance.
