Öğe Dural Carotico-Cavernous Fistula: Pre and Postembolization Appearances of Bone-Subtracted CT Angiography(TURKISH NEUROSURGICAL SOC, 2013) Koc, Osman; Genc, Emine; Ozturk, Banu; Genc, Bulent Oguz; Keskin, Fatih; Ozbek, OrhanDigital subtraction angiography (DSA) is the best method of evaluating carotid cavernous fistulas (CCF). DSA, however, has the disadvantage of being an invasive procedure. Computerized tomography (CT) angiography which is noninvasive, have been shown to provide more information about the size and location of fistulas. As a new method, Bone-Subtraction CT Angiography (BSCTA), than conventional CT angiography, is a method that improves the detection and interpretation of vascular lesions near to the cavernous segment of carotid artery. In this case report, we report a case of a dural carotico-cavernous fistula (CCF), appearances of pre and postembolization BSCTA images, confirmed by on DSA. As far as we know, CCF demonstrated by BSCTA has not been reported yet.Öğe Dural Carotico-Cavernous Fistula: Pre and Postembolization Appearances of Bone-Subtracted CT Angiography(2013) Koc, Osman; Genc, Emine; Ozturk, Banu; Genc, Bulent Oguz; Keskın, Fatıh; Ozbek, OrhanDij ital subtraksiyon anj iyografi (DSA) karotiko-kavernöz fistülü (KKF) değerlendirmede en iyi metodtur. Bizim bilgilerimize göre KBBTA ile tanısı konulan KKF olgusu bildirilmemiştir.Öğe The effect and safety of intravitreal injection of ranibizumab and bevacizumab on the corneal endothelium in the treatment of diabetic macular edema(TAYLOR & FRANCIS LTD, 2017) Guzel, Huseyin; Bakbak, Berker; Koylu, Mehmet Talay; Gonul, Saban; Ozturk, Banu; Gedik, SansalObjective: To investigate the effect and safety of intravitreal injection (IVI) of bevacizumab and ranibizumab on corneal endothelial cell count and morphology in patients with diabetic macular edema.Materials and methods: A total of 60 eyes from 60 consecutive patients who received 0.5mg/0.05ml IVIs of bevacizumab (n=30, IVB group) or 1.25mg/0.05ml ranibizumab (n=30, IVR group) for three consecutive months were investigated prospectively. Specular microscopy was performed to evaluate endothelial cell count, the percentage of hexagonal cells (pleomorphism), and the coefficient of variation of the cell size (polymegathism); optical biometry was performed to evaluate central corneal thickness. Results before injection and 1 month after the first and third injections were compared. Results: The groups were matched for age (p=0.11) and gender (p=0.32). There was no significant difference in endothelial cell count (IVB group, p=0.66; IVR group, p=0.74), pleomorphism (IVB group, p=0.44; IVR group, p=0.88) and polymegathism (IVB group, p=0.21; IVR group, p=0.24) before injection or 1 month after the first and third injections. There was also no difference in central corneal thickness (IVB group, p=0.15; IVR group, p=0.58) before injection or 1 month after the first and third injections. Conclusion: Monthly 1.25mg/0.05ml IVIs of bevacizumab or 0.5mg/0.05ml of ranibizumab for three consecutive months in the treatment of diabetic macular edema does not affect corneal morphology and has no harmful effects on the endothelium.Öğe Fractalkine(CX3CL1) levels in patients with Behcet's disease and neuro-Behcet's disease (vol 315, pg 120, 2012)(ELSEVIER SCIENCE BV, 2015) Irkec, Ceyla; Teksut, Tuba Kuz; Adisen, Esra; Ozturk, Banu; Fidan, Isil; Gurer, M. Here we present a woman patient with thyroid hemiagenesis, Graves' disease and ophthalmopathy with nodular goiter. Fine needle aspiration biopsy of the dominant nodule was suspicious of malignancy. The patient was referred for surgery for total thyroidectomy. Histopathological examination of the surgical material revealed benign features. The present case confirms that, although rare, a number of concomitant thyroid disorders can exist in a single patient with thyroid hemiagenesis just as it is seen for a normally developed thyroid gland.Öğe Topiramate-induced acute-onset myopia and central corneal thickening: Pentacam Scheimpflug imaging findings(CANADIAN OPHTHAL SOC, 2009) Kerimoglu, Hurkan; Tokgoz, Mine; Ozturk, Banu; Gonul, Saban; Pekel, Hamiyet[Abstract not Available]Öğe Unilateral chemosis, acute onset myopia and choroidal detachment following the use of tamsulosin(WILEY-BLACKWELL PUBLISHING, INC, 2010) Kerimoglu, Hurkan; Zengin, Nazmi; Ozturk, Banu; Gunduz, Kemal[Abstract not Available]
