Öğe Automatic liver segmentation in abdomen CT images using SLIC and adaboost algorithms(Association for Computing Machinery, 2018) Barstugan M.; Ceylan R.; Sivri M.; Erdogan H.This study is an implementation of liver segmentation on abdomen CT images. The liver organ was segmented by using SLIC super-pixel and AdaBoost algorithms. Firstly, the images were clustered by SLIC super-pixel algorithm. Then, the liver was segmented by AdaBoost classifier. The segmentation process was done automatically. The automatic segmentation is based on the classification of overlapping patches of the image. The results of automatic segmentation and manual segmentation were compared and the efficiency of the method was observed. It presents the most commonly detectable lesion in patients with precocious puberty and is associated with gelastic seizures. As well as, it can be completely silent to be found only incidentally. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic rezonans (MR) imaging are preferred imaging modalities in diagnose of hypothalamic hamartomas. The aim of this study is to present the radiologic imaging findings of a rare hypothalamic hamartoma case.Öğe Our experience with MR imaging of perianal fistulas(Medical Science International, 2014) Baskan O.; Koplay M.; Sivri M.; Erol C.Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) depicts infectious foci in the perianal region better than any other imaging modality. MRI allows definition of the fistula, associated abscess formation and its secondary extensions. Accurate information is necessary for surgical treatment and to obtain a decrease in the incidence of recurrence and complications. Radiologists should be familiar with anatomical and pathological findings of perianal fistulas and classify them using the MRI – based grading system. In this manuscript, we aimed to discuss the imaging and surgical treatment methods of an isolated esophageal atresia case with 'short gap' who had stridor due to compression of the trachea by dilated upper esophageal pouch and had not identified previously in the literature.
