Öğe CONTRIBUTION TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE STRATIOMYIDAE (DIPTERA) FAUNA OF TURKEY(AMER ENTOMOL SOC, 2017) Demirozer, Ozan; Ustuner, Turgay; Hayat, Rustem; Uzun, AsiyeThe present contribution is based upon stratiomyids (Diptera: Stratiomyidae) collected in Turkey between 1973 and 2014. A total of 29 species belonging to Beridinae, Clitellariinae, Sarginae, Stratiomyinae and Nemotelinae have been recorded. Among them, Actina chalybea Meigen, 1804, Adoxomyia dahlii (Meigen, 1830) and Nemotelus uliginosus (Linnaeus, 1758) are new records for the Turkish insect fauna. Additionally, the genus Actina was also recorded from Turkey for the first time. New distribution areas for previously known species were added. A zoogeographic characterization is proposed for each species.Öğe FIRST RECORD OF THE GENUS ADOXOMYIA (DIPTERA: STRATIOMYIDAE) WITH FOUR SPECIES FROM TURKEY(FLORIDA ENTOMOLOGICAL SOC, 2011) Ustuner, Turgay; Hasbenli, AbdullahAdoxomyia aureovittata (Bigot, 1879), A. cinerascens (Loew, 1873), A. obscuripennis (Loew, 1873) and A. sarudnyi (Pleske, 1903) are recorded from Turkey for the first time. Both sexes of the first 3 species and the male of A. sarudnyi are redescribed and photographs of all species are provided. The distributions of all species are briefly discussed. The male genitalia and some other diagnostic characters of all the examined species are illustrated. An identification key to all East-Mediterranean species was constructed and is included in this report.Öğe NEW DATA ABOUT XYLOMYA SPECIES FROM TURKEY (DIPTERA: XYLOMYIDAE)(FLORIDA ENTOMOLOGICAL SOC, 2011) Ustuner, Turgay; Hasbenli, AbdullahThe Xylomya species found in Turkey are summarized and illustrated in this work. Xylomya ciscaucasica (Pleske 1928) and Xylomya mlokosiewiczi (Pleske 1925), previously only known from the Caucasus, are recorded from Turkey for the first time in this study. The male genitalia of X. ciscaucasica and the female genitalia of X. mlokosiewiczi and X. maculata (Meigen 1804) are illustrated for first time. The distribution of these species is briefly discussed and a key to Turkish species is given. Also a key to Turkish genera of Xylomyidae is given.Öğe A new louse species: aegypoecus guralpi sp. n. (phthiraptera: ischnocera) from a long-legged buzzard (buteo rufinus)(KAFKAS UNIV, VETERINER FAKULTESI DERGISI, 2015) Dik, Bilal; Muz, Mustafa Necati; Ustuner, TurgayA total of ten louse samples were collected from a long-legged buzzard (Buteo rufinus) in Hatay province in Mediterranean Region of Turkey. All of the louse samples were identified as a new species morphologically and named as Aegypoecus guralpi.Öğe New records of the soldier flies of Morocco with a bibliographical inventory of the North African fauna (Diptera, Stratiomyidae)(PENSOFT PUBL, 2017) Yimlahi, Driss; Ustuner, Turgay; Zinebi, Sanae; Belqat, BoutainaA checklist of soldier flies species recorded from the North African countries of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt is based on both literature records and material newly collected in Morocco. Four subfamilies (Stratiomyinae, Sarginae, Nemotelinae, and Pachygasterinae), and twelve species from five genera have been collected and are recognized in Morocco. Pachygaster atra (Panzer, 1798), Oxycera pardalina (Meigen, 1822), Nemotelus danielssoni (Mason, 1989), and Oxycera terminata (Meigen, 1822) are newly recorded to the North African fauna. Nemotelus atriceps (Loew, 1856) and Nemotelus maculiventris (Bigot, 1861) are reported for the first time in Morocco. The present number of soldier flies known from Morocco is 33.Öğe A new species and some new records of the genus Oxycera (Diptera : Stratiomyidae) from Turkey(AMER ENTOMOL SOC, 2007) Ustuner, Turgay; Hasbenli, AbdullahA new species, Oxycera quadrilineala sp. n., is described from Turkey and diagnostic characters are illustrated and compared with four related species. Ox.vcera galeata (Lindner, 1975), Oxycera grata Loew, 1869 and Oxycera pardalina Mcigen, 1822 are recorded for the fauna of Turkey for the first time.Öğe A NEW SPECIES OF ADOXOMYIA (DIPTERA: STRATIOMYIDAE) FROM TURKEY(FLORIDA ENTOMOLOGICAL SOC, 2012) Ustuner, TurgayA new species of soldier flies (Diptera: Stratiomyidae), Adoxomyia begreliensis sp. nov., based on a male and a female from the Gevne Valley in Turkey is described.
