Öğe Analysis of Anger Expression Style - Continuous Anger and Personality Types of Professional Soccer Players(COLLEGIUM ANTROPOLOGICUM, 2011) Yildiz, Mustafa; Sahan, Hasan; Tekin, Murat; Ulukan, Mehrnet; Mehtap, BekirThe purpose of this study was to analyse the anger expression styles, the continuous anger and personality types of players who play football in the professional league. The research group consisted of 133 soccer players who are playing in sports teams in the Turkish Super League: Ankara Sport Club, Genclerbirligi Sports Club and Hacettepe Sports Club in the first league, Turk Telekom sports in the second league, and Kecioren Gacu Sports and Ankarademir Sports playing in the third league in the 2008-2009 football season. The Eysenck personality inventory was modified to Turkish by Bayar in 1983(1), having been developed by Eysenck and Eysenck in 19752 and the continuous anger - anger style scale (SOTO) was modified to Turkish by Ozer in 1994(3). The state trait anger scale (STAS) was originally developed by Spielberger in 1983(4). All these were used on soccer players participating in the study to determine the continuous anger and anger styles in this study. In the interpretation of data, a meaningfulness of p<0.05, was applied by using regression analysis, the Kruskal Wallis Test, the one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) test and the Tukey test to find the differences among the groups. The SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) programme was used to find the accounted values and to evaluate the data. According to the results of this study, regarding the education level variable, while there was a meaningful difference between the continuous anger sub-dimension and anger control sub-dimension than continuous anger - anger expression styles, no significant difference was found among personality type sub-dimensions (psychoticism, extrovert, neurotic, false). In addition, a significant relationship was found between psychoticism, extrovert neurotic, and lie sub-dimensions and the personality type sub-dimensions of professional players' constant anger-anger expression styles.Öğe Analyzing socialization levels of girls university students(SILA SCIENCE, 2012) Sahan, Hasan; Tekin, Murat; Yildiz, Mustafa; Gorucu, AlpaslanThe aim of this analyzing is to observe socialization levels of girl university student. Research group consists of 603 girl university students in 1(th), 2(th), 3(th) and 4(th) class in some faculties and academies in Dumlupinar University, Inonu University, Gazi University and 19 Mayis University. Socialization measurement is used to fulfill the analyzing. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was applied in data analyzing and interpreting and results of significance level data from Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis test is acquired P<0.05. SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) package program was used in calculating and interpreting the data. At the end of this research, It is determined that girl students socialization level whose departments are architecture and engineering are lower than girl students' whose departments are physical education and sports academy and faculty of education. In addition to this, 1(th) year university girl students socialization level are higher than 2(th) and 4(th) year university girl students socialization level.Öğe BASE-WATERING SOIL STABILIZATION PROCESS OF A REINFORCED CONCRETE WATER RESERVOIR(INT SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE SGEM, 2009) Yildiz, Mustafa; Erkan, I. Hakki; Sakir, SainCollapsible lands are generally found in arid and sub arid areas. These kinds of soils that are in metastable structure have high void ratio and low weight per unit volume. Loess soil that are wind deposits, residual soils, soils that are formed by volcanic ashes, alluvium soils, fine sand and silts, silt sand and loam are among the soils that have collapsing tendency. Collapsing that happened due to the increase on the water content of the base soil is generally seen in loosen silt layers that have low water content, alluvium soils and in soils filled with sand and pebbles. Significant collapses may occur in buildings constructed on these kinds of soils without any precaution when the soils are wet. In this study the reason of the damage in reinforced concrete storage tank with 25 000 cubic meter volume belong to Konya KOSKI (Konya Water and sewerage services) that was constructed on collapsible soil without taking any precaution and had important collapses in its foundation during the test filling was searched. In order to prevent the possible future deformations in the storage tank and make it possible to use the tank again the soil is stabilized. For this purpose, it was thought that it would be both economic and practical to fill the foundation base of the tank with water from drainage system and fill the volume with water gradually to stop the collapsing. The idea was applied. There were many damages in the tank during the first usage and stabilization with based soaking. These damages were repaired with a strengthening project and the tank has been being used since then.Öğe The Effects of Pore Fluids with Different Dielectric Constants on the Geotechnical Behaviour of Kaolinite(SPRINGER HEIDELBERG, 2012) Olgun, Murat; Yildiz, MustafaThe properties of pore fluid in clayey soil are usually influential on the intergranular physicochemical forces, i.e., on the geotechnical properties of clay. In this paper, the Atterberg limits of kaolinite were determined for pure water and four different chemical fluids with various concentrations (20, 40, 60 and 80) whose dielectric constants represent a wide range of interval, and kaolinite's shear strength and compression behaviors were investigated by using the specimens obtained by consolidating the mixtures under 100 kPa pressure with water content twice their liquid limits. During the tests, an optical microscope was used to take the photographic views of the structural changes taking place on kaolinite due to the changing pore fluids. According to the experimental results, the effect of the chemical fluids caused to have increase in shear strength values and decrease in compression and swelling index values obtained by the consolidation tests. Moreover, kaolinite's liquid limit increased with the increasing chemical fluid concentration and decreasing dielectric constant of the pore fluid. The changes observed on the geotechnical properties of kaolinite subjected to chemical fluids can be explained with intergranular Van der Waals attraction forces whose increase causes the flocculation of particles and the tendency of the clayey soil to behave like the silt-fine sand. Additionally, the optical microscope views taken during the experiments also supported these conditions clearly.Öğe Influence of Exercise on Leptin, Adiponectin and Quality of Life in Type 2 Diabetics(GALENOS YAYINCILIK, 2015) Dede, Nesrin Dogan; Ipekci, Suleyman Hilmi; Kebapcilar, Levent; Arslan, Mihriban; Kurban, Sevil; Yildiz, Mustafa; Gonen, Mustafa SaitPurpose: This study aimed to investigate the influence of aerobic exercise on the quality of life and leptin and adiponectin levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Material and Method: Patients were randomized into two groups: aerobic exercise-training and control group. Parameters were assessed at baseline and end of the twelve-week follow-up for 60 type 2 diabetic patients who completed the program. The 36-item Short Form Health Survey was administered to the patients. Results: The exercise-training group results showed a decrease in adiponectin and leptin levels, a reduction of waist circumference and percentage of body fat (p=0.007, 0.023, 0.012 and 0.048, respectively). The leptin levels in the aerobic exercise group were positively correlated with body mass index (r=0.303, p=0.021) and percentage of body fat (r=0.371, p=0.005); they were negatively correlated with physical problems (r=-0.482; p=0.009) and pain (r=-0.540; p=0.003). Exercise led to statistically significant improvements in the SF-36 physical functioning and mental health subscales (p=0.020 and 0.023, respectively). Discussion: The association of better HbA1c, waist circumference, and percentage of body fat with improved mental and physical scores may be related to a decrease in leptin levels, despite a significant reduction in serum adiponectin levels.Öğe STRENGTHENING AND SEISMIC PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT OF THE BUILDING OF CHAMBER OF ARCHITECTS IN AKSARAY (HISTORICAL IBRAHIM AGA MANSION)(INT SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE SGEM, 2009) Sezer, Rifat; Yildiz, Mustafa; Dulgerler, O. Nuri; Kara, Nail; Dere, YunusThe historical Ibrahim Aga Mansion purchased by the Chamber of Architects of Aksaray and wished to be used as the service building for the chamber. In this study, the strengthening project before the restoration of the building was prepared. The building had no foundations under the stone walls and suffered from cracks and decaying of the wooden floors. Since the existing structural system did not allow restoration of the building, strengthening and redesign of the structural system was the main priority. In the retrofit project prepared, the exterior of the building is totally preserved, and the interior which had low load-carrying capacity and functionality is redesigned for more functionality and a new structural system made of reinforced concrete and steel members was proposed. The foundations were combined into a raft foundation, the basement walls were changed into shear walls, basement and ground floors designed as a reinforced concrete whereas the roof columns, beams and floors were designed as a steel system. The exterior walls and the interior structural system were anchored together in order to prevent possible settlements and deformations that may occur in the future. The prepared strengthening project has been put into practice and the construction work is still undergoing.
