Öğe Essential oil composition of Salvia aucheri Bentham var. canescens Bioiss. & Heldr. Described endemic species from Turkey(2008) İpek, Arif; Gürbüz, Bilal; Sarıhan, Ercüment Osman; Duran, Ahmet; Kendir, HayrettinThis study was carried out at the laboratory of Field Crops Department, Faculty of Agriculture and University of Ankara in 2004. Plant material of Salvia aucheri Bentham var. canescens Boiss. & Heldr. was collected from the locality: C4 Karaman, between Ermenek and Gülnar, Görmeli Village in Turkey. Aerial parts of plants were dried in shadow than the leaves were separated from the stems. The essential oil was extracted from the leaves by hydro distillation method. The average content of essential oil was obtained as 1.32%. The water-distilled essential oil from dried leaves of this species was analysed by GC-MS. A total of 47 components, representing 98.8 % of the oil, were characterized. The major component of essential oil was camphor as 23.41%. The other important compounds were identifi ed such as 1,8-cineole, camphene, α pinene, borneol and β-pinene.Öğe In Vitro Shoot Proliferation in Genus Endemic and Endangered Ornamental Plant Neotchihatchewia Isatidea (Boiss) Rauschert Using Different Organs(SPRINGER, 2010) Uranbey, Serkan; Çalışkan, Mikail; Gümüşçü, Ahmet; İpek, Arif; Arslan, NeşetThe ornamental plant, Neotchihatchewia isatidea, is an endangered species of Turkey and threatened by complete extinction in the future. Therefore, in vitro multiplication of this species can be valuable for commercial production and germplasm conservation. Immature embryos of N. isatidea were cultured for initiation on Murashige and Skoog medium (MS) supplemented with N 6 -benzylamino-purine (BAP) and -naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA). Shoot primordia were visible within 5 - 6 weeks and the shoot primordia later developed into normal shoots 10 - 12 weeks after the culture initiation on calli developed from immature embryos. Shoot tips were also excised from developed plantlets for direct shoot organogenesis and cultured on MS shoot induction medium supplemented with BAP (0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 mg/l), kinetin (KIN) (0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 mg/l) and thidiazuron (TDZ) (0.05, 0.10 and 0.50 mg/l). Direct multiple shoots from shoot tips developed in most media tested. High shoot multiplication (3.73), high rooting (53 %) number of root per shoot (3.66) and survival ratio (46.6 %) were achieved.Öğe Seçilmiş oğulotu (Melissa officinalis L.) hatlarının Ankara koşullarında herba verimi ve bazı özelliklerinin araştırılması(2008) Gürbüz, Bilal; Bahtiyarca, Reyhan; İpek, Arif; Arslan, Yusuf; Akar, Taner; Coşge, Belgin; Gümüşçü, AhmetBu araştırma, Ankara Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi, Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü deneme tarlası ve laboratuarlarında 2004-2006 yılları arasında yürütülmüştür. Denemede materyal olarak, Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü’nde geniş bir oğulotu populasyonundan seçilen tek bitkilerden çoğaltılan 76 hat kullanılmıştır. Çeliklerin dikimi 2004 yılında 60x40 cm bitki sıklığında yapılmıştır. İlk yıl plantasyonun kuruluş yılı olmuş, ikinci (2005) ve üçüncü (2006) yıllarda ikişer biçim yapılmış ve değerlendirilmiştir. 2005 yılında hatlara ait ortalama bitki boyu 37.73-56.02 cm, yeşil herba verimi 292.46-677.76 g/bitki, drog herba verimi 105.51-256.57 g/bitki, yeşil yaprak verimi 188.14-487.31 g/bitki, drog yaprak verimi 79.41-177.65 g/bitki, uçucu yağ oranı %0.036-0.100 arasında değerler alırken; 2006 yılında ortalama değerler sırasıyla 26.27-45.59 cm, 372.28-825.36 g/bitki, 104.46-176.42 g/bitki, 204.35-471.41 g/bitki, 48.20-114.54 g/bitki, %0.018-0.058 arasında değişim göstermiştir. Genel olarak 2005 yılında Hat-22, 2006 yılında Hat-7 ön plana çıkmıştır.
