Öğe Counterparts of Turkish Folk Tale Hero Keloglan in Two Hunza Folk Tales(SELCUK UNIV, FAC LETTERS, 2018) Bilik, NuriyeTales, which are among important genres of folk literature, are cultural symbols of societies to which they belong. These literary genres, which have transcended the borders of their respective countries in the journeys which people living in different cultures and geographies have made for purposes of migration, war and trade throughout history, have adapted to the social and cultural fabric of the societies they have encountered in the new geographies they have landed and assumed new identities. The fact that one may encounter in literatures of other countries a similar tale, joke or folk story told in Anatolia seems to be in support of this. Anonymous characters in the two Hunza folk tales included in our study are none other than Keloglan, who is one of the beloved heroes of Turkish tales. The characters in these two Hunza tales are lookalikes of Keloglan, who had some negative qualities in some Turkish tales. In Keloglan tales where Keloglan assumes negative qualities, Keloglan exhibits a wicked, ruthless, cunning, lazy, immoral and intimidating personality. Characters resembling Keloglan in Hunza tales also appropriate property of people who they deceive through cunning, deceit, trickery, ruthlessness and brutality and lead them to death. They are so impudent as to torture and cause suffering to the poor, naive, old and honest people around them. Even animals receive their own share of these sufferings. There are occasions when they rise to the rank of raja despite all kinds of treachery and wickedness they have committed. In order to draw attention to intercultural relationships, this study dealt w ith t wo H unza t ales t itled B adnam S arir B hai k i K ahani (Story o f a N otoriously Naughty Brother) and Bad Kar Aurat ki Kahani (Story of a Sinful Woman) with reference to texts similar to Keloglan tales in Anatolia.Öğe The Cultural and Linguistic Relations between Turkish and Urdu Language(SELCUK UNIV, FAC LETTERS, 2018) Bilik, NuriyeThe relations between the Turks and the Indians are very ancient. Various Turkish communities came from Central Asia and settled in the Indian subcontinent and lived with the existing communities there. This process had started with Kushan and Ak Huns, then continued with Ghazni Mahmut and Baburs. Traces of Turkish culture can be seen at every corner of the Indian subcontinent. The buildings by the Turks, including the castles, mosques, hammams, the Qutub Minar, the Taj Mahal and many other worthy art works are excellent examples of Turkish architecture. In addition to the architecture, the mutual interactions between Turks and Indians are also felt in proverbs, idioms, legends and traditions. When the proverbs that reveal neighborly relations and cultural heritage are examined in terms of ideas and form, the multiplicity of common feelings and considerations can be recognised. It is remarkable that the thoughts and feelings in both languages are rather identical than being similar. In some folk stories, the characters named like badnam sarir bhai, naucavan, sharir badmuash are no one but Keloglan, the hero of the Turkish fairy tale. In these varieties of tales, heroes reach their goals with their intelligence, jealousy, cunning and resourcefulness. Nasrettin Hoca narratives, a symbol of Turkish humor that has spread to a wide geography from Balkans to India, can appeal to the feelings of the people of the Indian subcontinent apart from responding to the feelings of the Turkish people. In terms of traditions and customs, there are many similar celebrations, especially in marriage ceremonies. These similarities between the Turks and the Indian subcontinents are not limited to culture alone. There are similarities between the Turkish and Urdu languages in terms of grammar as well. Both communities have lived together for many years and as a result they have been affected by each other. For this reason, the similarities between Turkish and Urdu languages are quite evident in history.Öğe Türk Edebiyatından Urdu Edebiyatına Uyarlanan Birkaç Mensur Şiir(Selçuk Üniversitesi, 2013) Bilik, Nuriyeİlk örneklerine Fransız edebiyatında rastlanan mensur şiirin Türk edebiyatındaki öncüsü ve isim babası Halit Ziya’dır. Urdu edebiyatında ise mensur şiir geleneği, Seccad Haydar Yıldırım’ın Türkçeden yaptığı tercümeler aracılığıyla başlamıştır. Yıldırım Türkçeye hâkim Hindistanlı meşhur bir yazardır. İstanbul’da bulunan İngiliz konsolosluğundaki görevi esnasında Türk dili ve edebiyatına büyük bir ilgi duyan yazar, Servet-i Fünûn edebiyatını yakından tanıma fırsatı bulmuştur. Türkçe pek çok hikâye, roman ve tiyatro eserinin yanı sıra mensur şiirleri de Urdu diline aktarmıştır. Yıldırım, Halit Ziya’nın “Mensur Şiirler” adlı eserinde yer alan “Ağlarım” isimli mensur şiirini “Münzevi Olsaydım” adıyla Urdu diline uyarlamıştır. Halit Ziya’dan sonra mensur şiir türünün Servet-i Fünûn dönemindeki başlıca temsilcisi Mehmet Rauf’tur. Yazarın mensur şiir külliyatı olan Siyah İnciler adlı eserinden üç şiiri Urdu diline aktarılmıştır. Bunlar, birinci bölümdeki “Kelebek” ve ikinci bölümdeki “Kleopatra” ile “La Grande Via”dır. Seccad Haydar Yıldırım, Türkçeden yaptığı bu tercümeler aracılığıyla Urdu edebiyatı okuyucusunu, kendilerine yabancı olan mensur şiir türü ile tanıştırmıştır. “Hikâyât-o- İhtisasat” adlı eserinde yer alan bu mensurelerde yazar, Türk yazarlarının mensur şiirlerindeki ruhunu yansıtmıştır, diyebiliriz. Hindistan’da yayımlandığı yıllarda büyük ilgiyle okunan bu eser vasıtasıyla Urdu edebiyatı okuyucuları yeni bir türle tanışma fırsatı bulmuştur.Öğe Türk klasiği Kiralık Konak ile Dünya klasiği Madam Bovary'nin mukayeseli incelemesi(Selçuk Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi, 2013) Bilik, Nuriye; Şen, Nuray ÖztürkBu çalışma Yakup Kadri’nin “Kiralık Konak’ı ile Gustave Flaubert’in “Madam Bovary” si arasındaki benzerliklerin Pakistan ve Hindistan okur kitlesine aktarmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Her iki romanda da hem Emma hem Seniha, hayal ettiklerine sahip olanları kıskanan bovarist tiplerdir.
