Öğe Evaluation of Popular Recreation Places in Konya in Terms of Safety and Maintenance Criteria: In The Case of Kalehan Ecdat and Japon Parks(Selçuk Üniversitesi, 2022) Güngör, SertaçBoth the negative impact of the covid pandemic that we have experienced in the last 2 years, and the understanding of having green areas with higher standards have come to the fore more today. While the longing for green spaces has increased in individuals who are closed in their homes in the pandemic environment, the necessity of these green spaces to be more well-maintained and safer has emerged, considering the pandemic conditions. The aim of this research is to determine the status of the facilities and the park in general in Kalehan-Ecdat and Japon Parks, two of the most popular urban parks in Konya, and to compare them with each other in terms of maintenance and security. These two popular parks constitute the main material of the research. A total of 256 visitors using the parks were surveyed on a voluntary basis, paying attention to the pandemic hygiene conditions, face-to-face and online using Google surveys. Kalehan-Ecdat and Japon parks were evaluated by the park users in terms of the well-maintained and safety of the facilities they contain and the park in general, in order to determine their current status and to compare them with each other. While 60% of the users found both parks well-maintained, 4% found them unmaintained. When the security conditions of the parks were evaluated, Kalehan-Ecdat park, which has straight access roads and patrols in the park, was found to be 70% safe in terms of circulation, while the Japon park, which had deserted areas in places due to its lively design, was found to be 50% safe.Öğe The examination of environmental design principles in public institutions in the example of the current landscape design of Konya courthouse(2017) Güngör, SertaçPublic spaces are among the spaces requiring the most importance for the design in the evaluation of outdoor spaces. Public spaces are the common areas used by people of all ages, genders, and jobs. The key feature of the environmental design made in these areas is its requirement to be at the level of meeting the needs of people from all strata. Since there is not the main method for the evaluation of environmental planning of public institutions and organizations in the current literature and these areas strongly affect the texture of the city, a questionnaire study was conducted in our study with people using the courthouse and courthouse personnel to reveal the standards, criteria and the needs of users in public institutions. According to the results of the questionnaire, solution suggestions were made by revealing the positive and negative sides of landscape designs of the courthouse.Öğe Examination of Shopping Malls on the Usage Preferences of Physical Disabilities: On-Site Evaluation from Konya/Turkey(Selçuk Üniversitesi, 2022) Güngör, Sertaç; İyit, NeslihanWith this research, the suitability of the existing large shopping malls in the city of Konya for the use of physically disabled individuals, the problems they may experience in their use and their expectations were evaluated. For this purpose, a survey was conducted in 4 large shopping malls, private or public rehabilitation malls for the disabled, and the Konya Branch of the Turkish Association for the Disabled. The research was carried out in 2018-2019. A survey was conducted with disabled people who volunteered on different days, weekdays, and weekends. Even though it is difficult to access, the shopping mall where they can be most comfortable as a disabled person has been “Novada”. While "Novada AVM" stands out due to the ease of use of the sanitary facilities, the presence of landmarks for the visually impaired, the presence of a battery-chair charging station and the availability of wheelchairs, "Kent plaza", where its staff receives "sign language" training for the speech-impaired, is one of the preferred shopping malls. has been. In this research, "Kulesite" shopping mall has been the most preferred shopping mall due to the ease of transportation by "tramway".Öğe The examination of the main transportation arteries of Konya in terms of landscape architecture design criteria(2017) Güngör, Sertaç; Polat, Ahmet TuğrulEnsuring comfort of use and security of pedestrians, which are the main users of urban green spaces, and the determination of their needs are important since local authorities are guiding for new pedestrian zone studies in the Konya city. Because of the problems caused by the upper structure, the necessary care is not given in terms of transportation comfort, pedestrian safety, vehicle security, plant design and ergonomic / antropemetric standards. The pedestrian way and refuge landscape designs have an important position and amount among open green areas on the scale of Konya. However, it was identified that the applications conducted were inadequate in terms of aesthetic and functional characteristics and were not suitable for the urban landscape design principles, in general, and the standards of urban afforestation of the streets. In this study, the current situation of 3 main streets of Konya used most intensely was examined in terms of landscape design criteria and some suggestions were made by attempting to identify the improvement works that should be performed by the public authorities.Öğe Kyoto Japanese Garden in Konya, Turkey the Design Principles of Japanese Gardens(UNIV ZAGREB FAC ARCHITECTURE, 2010) Polat, Ahmet Tuğrul; Güngör, Sertaç; Kaklık, NailThe natural, exotic and mystic properties of Japanese gardens differentiate them from other gardens in the world. Since Japanese gardens are created in many countries, many garden designers and garden users are curious about the main principles that influence the creation of these gardens. The objective of this research was to evaluate the adequacy of the Japanese garden in Konya in Turkey through application of the principles of the Japanese garden design. According to the research, the created garden in Turkey may represent a good example of Japanese gardens. The results obtained by this study may be taken as guiding principles for the creation of thematic Japanese gardens in the world.Öğe Okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarının bahçelerinin peyzaj tasarımı ve alan kullanımları bakımından incelenmesi: Selçuklu İlçesi örneği(2017) Güngör, SertaçOkul öncesi çocukluk döneminde, çocukların fiziksel, zihinsel ve sosyal ilişkilerinin sağlıklı bir biçimde gelişebilmesi için okul bahçelerinin, kullanım şekli, kullanılan donatı elemanlarının niteliği, kişi başına düşen yeşil alan miktarları ve kullanılan bitki türleri çok önemlidir. Konya Kenti Selçuklu ilçesi okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarındaki bahçelerin, peyzaj tasarımı ve alan kullanımına yönelik mevcut durumlarının saptanabilmesi ve çözüm önerilerinin ortaya konulabilmesi için izin alınabilen 7 adet anaokulunda inceleme gerçekleştirirmiştir. Bu çalışma sonucunda; incelenen anaokulu bahçelerinin etkin kullanılmadığı, peyzaj tasarımında yeşil alana yeterince yer verilmediği ve anaokulu bahçelerinin çocukların zihinsel-fiziksel gelişimine katkı sağlayacak biçimde tasarlanmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
