Öğe Composition of the essential oils of Angelica sylvestris L. var. sylvestris isolated from the fruits by different isolation techniques(ALLURED PUBL CORP, 2008) Ozek, Temel; Ozek, Gulmira; Baser, K. Huesnue Can; Duran, Ahmet; Sagiroglu, MehmetThe essential oils of the fruits of Angelica sylvestris L.var.sylvestris (Umbelliferae) obtained using hydrodistillation (HD), nucrodistillation (MD) and micro-steam distillation-solid-phase microextraction (MSD-SPME) techniques were analyzed by GC and GUMS. The composition of the oils depended on the isolation method employed. alpha-Pinene (25.6%,36.2% and 9.2%, respectively), beta-phellandrene (9.1%, 9.9% and 3.2%), bornyl acetate (7.3%,4.3% and 6.9%), limonene (5.6%, 4.3% and 2.1%). myrcene (4.4%, 4.0% and 1.3%), camphene (3.9%, 4.7% and 1.2%), alpha-chamigrene (3.4%,4.4% and 9.1%) and beta-sesquiphellandrene (2.5%,3.8% and 8.7%) were found as the main constituents in the oils. p-Cresol (6.5%), epi-alpha-bisabolol (5.6%), (Z)-beta-farnesene (5.5%), naphthalene (4.4%), daucene (3.1%), amorpha-4,11-diene (3.1%) and gamma-muurolene (2.5%) were also among the main constituents of the oil isolated by MSD-SPME.Öğe Dichoropetalum alanyensis (Apiaceae), a new species from South Anatolia, Turkey(TUBITAK SCIENTIFIC & TECHNICAL RESEARCH COUNCIL TURKEY, 2016) Bilgili, Bilgehan; Sagiroglu, Mehmet; Seker, Meryem; Duman, HayriDichoropetalum alanyensis Bilgili, Sagiroglu & H. Duman, a new species from South Anatolia in Turkey (Antalya-Alanya), is described and illustrated. It is closely related to D. chryseum (Boiss. & Heldr. ex Boiss.) Pimenov & Kljuykov, from which it differs mainly by its habit, basal leaves and lobes, and mericarp features. Diagnostic morphological characters are discussed. Notes are also given on its ecology and conservation status, together with scanning electron micrographs of mericarp surface sculpturing pattern. ITS sequences were used for DNA fingerprinting. The data were analyzed with the SEAVIEW package. Standardized data were used to generate a dendrogram that revealed the phylogenetic relationships of taxa in tribes Selineae (Dichoropetalum-Johrenia), Tordylieae (Cymbocarpum), and Bupleureae (Diplotaenia) from different localities.Öğe Phylogenetic and cladistic analyses of the enigmatic genera Bituminaria and Cullen (Fabaceae) in Turkey(TUBITAK SCIENTIFIC & TECHNICAL RESEARCH COUNCIL TURKEY, 2015) Toksoy, Sezen; Ozturk, Meryem; Sagiroglu, MehmetThree taxa of the genus Psoralea L. growing naturally in Turkey and the outgroup taxa belonging to the closest genera Vicia L., Cicer L., and Astragalus L. were subjected to molecular and quantitative morphological analyses in order to characterize their phylogenetic relationships. Both the taxonomical and the molecular characteristics of the tribes Psoraleeae (Bituminaria Heist. ex Fabr., Cullen Medik.), Vicieae (Vicia), Astragalae (Astragalus), and Cicereae (Cicer) were clearly revealed for the first time with the inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) method. The phylogenetic relationships were determined with 253 ISSR band scores and 125 quantitative morphological character measurements. The numerical and molecular data sets were analyzed with NTSYSpc and Minitab software. Based on these data, the current circumscription of the genus Psoralea was reevaluated and compared with outgroups in Turkey. Consequently, the closely related genera of Bituminaria and Cullen clearly occur in Turkey instead of the genus Psoralea.
