Öğe Research on Accountants' Professional Burnout, Job and Life Satisfaction: 2-burnout and Job Satisfaction(Academic Journals, 2010) Ay, Mustafa; Avşaroğlu, SelahattinThis research examined whether the burnout and job satisfaction of accountants differed according to some variables The 'Maslach burnout inventory' and 'Job satisfaction scale' were used to collect data The research population consisted of the accountants in Turkey The sample of the research consisted of 1,494 randomly chosen participants from this group Data collection was initiated by sending the data collection tools to the accountants via mail and e-mail in September, 2008 and required data was obtained in June, 2009 According to the results of the study, it was determined that in term of gender, male accountants experienced more emotional burn out and female accountants experienced more job-satisfaction The significant differences in terms of gender, age group, workplace, working area, working style, workplace type, level of income variables and burnout and job satisfaction were determined in this research Concurrently, it was discovered that there was a negative correlation between burnout and job satisfaction.Öğe Determination of Word Knowledge and Comprehension Levels in Normal Developing and Learning Disorder Children(2010) Yıldırım Doğru, Safiye Sunay; Alabay, Erhan; Kayılı, GökhanThe objective of this study is to determine the knowledge of the vocabulary and comprehension levels in normal developing children and the ones with learning disorder. 50 children participated in the study which 28 are girls and 22 are boys. Also, 30 of them are normal developed and 20 having learning disorder. To evaluate the knowledge of the words and levels of comprehension of the language, Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test and Basic Mental Abilities (BMAs) Test 7-11 are used. As a result of the study, a significant difference was found in favor of boys according to the points taken in Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test in normal developed children. According to Basic Mental Abilities (BMAs) Test 7-11, there was no significant difference between genders. Besides, there was significant difference (p<0.05) in Peabody receptive language point mean values between normal developed children and children with learning disorder.Öğe An Analysis of Pre-School Teachers' and Student Teachers' Attitudes to Inclusion and Their Self-Efficacy(2009) Sarı, Hakan; Çeliköz, Nadir; Seçer, ZarifeThe aim of this study was to investigate what the self-efficacy and attitudes of pre-school teachers and student teachers towards inclusive education were and to elucidate the relationship between self-efficacy and the attitudes on inclusion. Therefore, the present study investigated the self-efficacy perceptions and attitudes of student teachers towards inclusive education, who received the special education course in the Department of Preschool Education at Faculty of Vocational Education in Selcuk University and pre-school education teachers who work in nursery classes and nursery schools affiliated to Konya Local Education Authority. Two scales were used in the study. These were: (1) the Opinions Relative to Inclusion Scale and (2) the Teacher Self-efficacy Perception Scale. Results indicated that: (a) attitudes of pre-school education teachers and the student teachers were undecided; (b) the two groups considered themselves efficient for being teachers in terms of the three dimensions of the self efficacy scale; (c) the attitudes' scores of the student teachers towards inclusive education were higher than the teachers' scores; (d) the scores of the teachers' self efficacy were higher than the student teachers' scores;(e) the attitudes of the teachers towards inclusive education were effected by their self efficacy perceptions in terms of teaching dimension; (f) the student teachers' perceptions on self efficacy were not effected by their attitudes towards inclusive education; (g) the student teachers should receive more courses on education of children with special educational needs during their university education; and (h) teachers should receive more support services than they have for how to educate children with SEN from the support units in accordance with the child's needs, type and severity of the child's handicap conditions. Further research is needed due to the fact that there may be a difference between the student teachers'scores on their attitudes towards special education according to how many credits they have received the courses on special education and practice in schools what they have learned from the courses regarding special education.Öğe Yalnız Mısın? Selçuk Üniversitesi Öğrencilerinde Yalnızlık Düzeyi ile Ilgili Bir Çalışma(2009) Karaoğlu, Nazan; Avşaroğlu, Selahattin; Deniz, Mehmet EnginObjective: Human beings arc social by nature. They desire to form and maintain positive and significant interpersonal relationships. Loneliness may affect mood, social skills and sociability. In addition to mental health problems, an obvious negative influence on physical wellbeing has been linked lo loneliness. Approximately 15-30% of people experience loneliness. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship of loneliness with gender, age and socio-demographic variables in a group of university students. Methods: R-L'CLA scale was applied to the voluntary university students who admitted to community-health center for any reason except illness. Independent variables were collected by a questionnaire. Chisquare, correlation, t-test and Tukcy analysis were employed. Results: The participants were 446 students (244 women, 202 men) whose mean age was 20.84 ±1.97 years. The overall prevalence of feeling lonely was 43.3%. The loneliness levels of male students were significantly higher than female students (p<0.05). Although, other variables were not effecting loneliness levels (p>0.05), satisfaction with current environment had a significant positive effect (p<0.05). Conclusion: Although association of loneliness and organic illnesses is still in debate, more frequent use of health care systems by lonely individuals was documented. The recognition and assessment of loneliness should be a key especially for primary care physicians lo enhance life satisfaction and physical health of individuals.Öğe Okul Öncesi Eğitim Kurumuna Devam Eden Etmeyen Çocukların Ahlaki ve Sosyal Kural Bilgilerinin Çeşitli Değişkenler Açısından Karşılaştırmalı Olarak Analizi(2006) Seçer, Zarife; Sarı, HakanOkul öncesi eğitim, çocukların ahlaki ve sosyal gelişimlerini destekleyecek etkinlikleri içermektedir. Okul öncesi eğitim kurumuna devam eden çocuklar devam etmeyen akranlarına göre daha ileri düzeyde sosyal ve ahlaki gelişim gösterme eğilimindedirler. Bu yüzden bu araştırmanın amacı, okul öncesi eğitim kurumuna devam eden çocuklar ile devam etmeyen çocukların ahlaki ve sosyal kurallarla ilgili bilgilerinde bir farklılığın olup olmadığını ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu araştırmaya, okul öncesi eğitim kurumuna devam eden 60 çocuk ile okul öncesi eğitim kurumuna devam etmeyen 60 çocuk olmak üzere toplam 120 çocuk katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplamak için Smetana (1981) tarafından geliştirilen 10 resim kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan 4-6 yaş çocuklardan elde edilen veriler Mann Whitney-U ve t testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, okul öncesi eğitimin çocukların ahlaki ve sosyal kurallarla ilgili farkındalık düzeyini olumlu yönde etkilediği ortaya çıkmıştır.
