| dc.description.abstract | Çalışmamıza konu olan Artemis Kültü günümüzde Yunanistan sınırları içerisinde olan antik ismiyle Brauronia, bugün ki ismiyle Vravrona kentinde bulunmaktadır. Brauronia, Yunanistan'ın başkenti Atina'nın 30 km kuzeydoğusunda yer almaktadır. Attika bölgesinde bulunması gerek kültür katmanları gerekse buluntu bakımından çeşitli ve zengin olmasını sağlamıştır. Brauronia'da ilk kazılar 1948 yılında Yunan arkeolog Jhon Papadimitrieu tarafından gerçekleştirilmiştir. En eski yerleşimin M.Ö. 3500 yılına ait olduğu bu kazılar sonucu ele geçen buluntulardan öğrenilmektedir. Kült, bakirelik ve Arktos(ayı) Tanrıçası Artemis'e adanmış olup küçük kız çocuklarının ergenliğe girdiği zaman yapılan ritüellerle ün kazanmıştır, bu ritüeller aynı zamanda dini bir vazifedir. Kız çocukları bu ritüellerden sonra her biri yetişkin kabul edilip artık birer arktos olarak tapınakta görev alırlar. Bu görevler arrephoros(kutsal kutu taşıyıcı), aletris(bileyici) gibi çeşitli görevlerdir. Bu yaşa yani ergenlik yaşına girmeden ölen kız çocuklarının mezar stellerinde kızlar ellerinde oyuncaklarıyla tasvir edilmiştir veya henüz ergenliğe girmiş olup ölen çocuklar ellerinde ki oyuncakları yere bırakmış şekilde tasvir edilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı bu konuları aydınlatmaktır. Artemis Brauronia Kültü ile alakalı yazılmış spesifik bir kaynak olmaması, külte ait heykel, mezar steli, pişmiş toprak heykelciklerin neden sonuç ilişkisine dayandırılarak değerlendirilmesi ve bu konuda başlıca bir kaynak oluşturulabilmesi bu çalışmanın temel amacıdır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The main subject of the current study, the Artemis Cult, takes part in the city of Vravrona in Greece, whose ancient name is known as Brauronia. Brauronia is about 40 km northeast of Athens, the capital city of Greece. The specific location of the cult, the region of Attika, enabled the cult to have a wide range of findings with various cultural layers. The first excavations in Brauronia were realized in 1948 by Greek archeologist Jhon Papadimitrieu. Judging from the findings obtained during these excavations the oldest settlement of the region is dated back to 3500 BC. The cult being devoted to Arthemis, the God of maidenhood, became famous for its rituals fulfilled when female children step into adolescence. These rituals, indeed, are religious codes following which female children are admitted to the temple as adults who are thus in charge. They have such duties as arrephoros and aletris which amount to sacred box carrying and grinding respectively. Those who died before walking into adolescence were depicted on the steles with their toys in their hands whereas the ones who died just becoming adolescents were depicted leaving their toys on the ground. The aim of the present study is to shed light on these issues. Since no source has been inscribed specific to the Artemis Brauronia Cult in the literature, this study aims to provide the literature with a specific source evaluating the statues, steles and terracotta effigies in a cause-effect relationship integrity. | en_US |
