20 Temmuz 1974 tarihinde Enosis'i engellemek ve Kıbrıs'taki soydaşlarımızın can, mal güvenliğini korumak amacıyla garantörlük hakkının kendisine verdiği yetkiyle Kıbrıs'a havadan, denizden ve karadan harekât düzenleyen Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri adaya banş ve huzuru da getirmiştir. Bu harekâtı gelecekte yazacak tarihçilerin kullanacağı en önemli belgelerden birisi de âşıkların söyledikleri destanlardır. Makalemizde, Çukurovalı âşıkların (Âşık Abdulvahap Kocaman, Âşık Halil Karabulut, Âşık Deli Hazım, Âşık Osman Feymanî, Âşık Hacı Karakılçık) olayları yorumlaması çeşitli açılardan değerlendirilmiştir.
In order to avoid Enosis and protect the Turkish Cypriots in Cyprus, the Turkish Army had an operation from the air and the see in the 20th July 1974, based on the guarantee treaty on the constitution; thus providing peace and tranquility on the island. One of the most important records of the operation which could be transferred to future generations by the historians is the epic poems cited by the Ashiks. In our article, the interpretations of the Ashiks from Çukurova (Âşık Abdulvahp Kocaman, Âşık Halil Karabulut, Âşık Deli Hazım, Âşık Osman Feymanî, Âşık Hacı Karakılçık) will be focused on on the basis of their comments from various different points.
